Got to finish the cad model exterior the way that is visually pleasing to me.
Now just need to make the tool paths with cam.

Should be now more refined looking build than before.

Yes,
New valve block with completely redesigned valve. Dwell can be adjusted with a screw.

Making some shavings finally.
First setup is something like 12000 lines of g code.
Next after that is 40000 lines.

5mm of excess removed and hole started, next is 3D contour in to the hole bottom to create a radius.

I could see this being a viable rifle for hunting moose or grizzly bear in a bullpup design with an attached or portable bipod. A bit heavy, but useable in a stand I imagine. This rifle may even make the hunt more challenging! I'm surprised to learn, from this thread no less, than Finland has no legal air rifle hunting. Can people hunt their own land with air rifles?

No hunting with any air guns no matter what caliber or power. Own land or not. Laws take forever to change, and law makers are really clueless on what can be had today.

Why imperial of course. As you can see the nail goes in by 13/16th of the length, not entirely as it would go in a metric rule of thumb.

It just looks big as I'm so small

Well seriously, it's a huge gun and heavy, but it was never intended for hunting or something like that. Just purely built for fun and the weight helps to absorb some of the recoil.

Minor setback on machining. This was supposed to be ready this weekend but then this happened. Taking apart the spindle from the Z carriage.

Apparently oil nozzle was clogged and one of the ways got oil starved. That and some old chips gotten in the ways from damaged wiper.
Two and half long days to fix the problem.
Way is stoned and it ok, the counterpart is lapped and usable.
So things happen with old machines, be sure to check the oilers now and then.

Yeah, I'm glad too. Could have been the complete rail that got ruined but fortunately it was just some metal deposits on it.

Just need to make the trigger group attatchment points.
