My pair of daisy no.177 Bob pistols arrived today

Now it's time to try and get them shooting,  the JC Higgins I've tested and it actually shoots great.
The regular daisy does not so I'll see what I can do.

The condition on both is great,  and they were purchased off a fellow forum member who did a terrific job packing them up.

The regular brown grip daisy just needed a heavy dose of oil and a bunch of compressed air to flush out the gummed up oil that was impeding the piston, and now it shoots fine.
The JC shoots the best, but both have proven to be exactly what I hoped they'd be.

Picked up my Hawke scope from the PO today, two days ahead of the estimated arrival. Airguns of Arizona packed the factory box inside another box, padded with bubble wrap. I won’t install and adjust it until weather sends a good half day to experiment outdoors, maybe on Saturday.

I specified USPS and am glad I did. The item was delivered to Gilbert, AZ at just after midnight Tues/Wed, or the beginning of Valentine’s Day. It was at my local PO this morning. Estimated date had been Saturday.

Especially nice that Hawke still includes a printed user manual!

I got tracking on a gun this morning that says it's due to arrive today. Only thing is, I won't be receiving it. It's a gun I sold and sent out Wed. and the new owner will.

I am really thinking my next major airgun purchase will be a lath, that milling machine sure looks tempting too, but I have a make shift one with old drill press and bed that works for the little stuff so far.

2x28x60mm compression spring (29mm is the max ID of the breech).
2.5x25x60mm compression spring (I couldn't cock the 3x25x60).

Going to start with 10 pounds from Rotometals of pure lead...That's near a decade if I'm only casting for the 30 cal but if I get good at casting I might get the 42-47 pound pig with free shipping.  Came to about $3.85/ pound with shipping so about $0.035/slug for the 62gr x.30

15 tins (250 ct) H&N FTTs (5.53 heads) from Field Supply.  Total cost with shipping and tax came to $6.78/tin.  I have 19 tins already (10/500 + 9/250) but I have 2 guns that eat these and I’m considering a 3rd.  Somewhere around 2011-2013 time frame (don’t exactly remember) there was a shortage on JSB pellets.  I waited for months until they came back in, no one had any in stock.  After that I told myself NEVER AGAIN.  Now I like to carry quantity one hand and not get low on what I need.  I probably have enough to shoot the rest of my life at my current rate of shooting but again, I don’t want to be in that situation again if I don’t have to.  Now that I type this I think that I should have purchased more tins… 😆😆🙄

Even though I started casting I bought some more stuff from Field Supply to try in the Notos, Apollo 16 & 18 rounded points and Apollo 17gr WC along with H&N FTT 14.66.  Most of which will be shot in the backyard and converted to 30 caliber slugs :-)
