Ordered a cheapo laser sight from Amazon to try on my 2240 Stubby. Thinking of holstering the stubby for squirrels during Bow Season. I'm pretty much an or on the Carbine/tree-stand load-out.  Loaded a free shipping cart on PA gonna wait and see what the Black Friday Sales look like.

The grey van elves arrived a day early while I was stomping around in the woods.  I installed the Laser Sight on Harley after watching some TV with memsahib.  I like the rearward position better.  When I grab the AG with two hands my off hand thumb swipes the toggle button and rests in a two hand grip.  I'm thinking Laser in at 20M and "guestimate" holds for 10M and 30M. I think the rearward position will make the holster easier to make and the AG easier to holster.  Harley will become my companion for Bow/stand hunting and MSR days. AG of any caliber or configuration can be used in Georgia August 15-Feb 29 for small game. Now I have another Kydex project after I get Harley Lasered in.  Harley in a holster will be easier to go up the climbing stand than Thick Girl.

I've been watching my pellet order from Midway USA pinball it's way around the lower 48 for the last ten days.  Each day it takes makes it less and less likely any of the four tins of pellets I ordered will be usable.

So, I came to my senses this morning and cancelled the order of the Gamo rifle.

Too much money for a brand I already don't like that much...

  Today, from AoA I received three air guns, a BSA, HW70 and HW50S.  All were well packed and all shot great. Also ordered a HW35W stainless look in .177 from AoA this morning.  Charles

My R9 started shooting low so I ran it over the chronograph, lost over 100 fps in the last month.  I ordered a new Vortex HO spring kit and seal.

My pellet order Midway USA arrived today.  In the typical (slightly) padded mailer.  Wonder of wonders everything looks pretty good. A small dent on one tin is all the damage I can see. I opened two tins and didn’t see anything scary.

So I rolled the dice with Midway one more time and won!

My luck is gonna run out one day.

Went to Midway to drool over the 4-12AO Vortex.  But what I really "need" next is a rangefinder.
I love the strong from experience opinions on this forum so let me hear your thoughts on the following for ranging mostly 50yards but maybe on a flat low grass field I might figure mils for 150 yards with the MSR;

I like the last three warranty and have no experience with Halo

This will be packed by a Neanderthal with two left thumbs that has slipped and fallen on his tree stand, dropped two AG from tree stand and nicked a centerpoint scope on the treestand frame and dropped one knife in the grass.  Kinda get why I like polymer black over beautiful wood...lol

Did you perform a "tissue test" to determine if pressure is being lost at the breech seal?

 I have a 30 dollar golf range finder, and a Halo XL 460, that has angle degree along with range, but the 30 dollar one does just as well if you do not need the angle of attack. I think I got the 450 for 45- 60 on sale.

I got this one from Amazon and like it very much. I have only really used it out to a hundred meters/yards and it’s quite accurate.

The Halo300 and Gogo are both available at Wallyworld sub$70..I will take the Vortex out of my cart and see what Midway Cyber Days looks like on the 20th. I'm getting a chest rig that will hold binos, rangefinder, cellphone and a few other small items.  I was also eyeballing a blaze orange "shooting vest" with seating pad for PB season...Georgia requires 500 square inches of blaze orange.  My turkey vest has a 12x12 flag but the tree stand covers that and the watchcap doesn't add up to enough inches.  I've come to do a lot of sitting on the turkey vest pad.

Breach seal is fine.  I purchased this rifle used and it appeared to have a 12fpe kit, I'll know when I tear it down.
