Lookee what I got today!

What I did receive was an email from FedEx that an attempt was made at 7:20pm today to deliver my RWS460. The email stated that no one was home. Duh! They always leave the package in the garage whether I here or not. I hate when people make up lies to cover their own butt. I haven't left the house all day, it's been raining and I've been sitting around here waiting on them to bring my rifle. It's called lazy, just be glad it wasn't stuffed in a plastic bag and tossed over a gate on a busy highway in the pouring rain. I caught them the second time and let the jerk have it. The only way I know I have somebody at the gate is all my dogs pile up at it barking. One good thing for me being a small town, I know when the ups guy shows up at the post office and just wait for them there instead of them dumping stuff over the gate.Looks like FedEx is going to wait till Monday to deliver my RWS460. Wonder what excuse they will give for not delivering it today. Oh and my pellets from Pyramyd were not delivered today either, yep you guessed it... FedEx!!

I loath FedEx. (hate is a strong word) Whether it is here at home or at work.Ya-see, I am a Industrial Maintenance Manager and I order parts and consumables to keep our machines running every single day. Some vendors have FedEx accounts and it drives me NUTS!The tracking is off.. things go MIA.... and the poor Driver is not always to blame. The COMPANY is shoddy at best. Just one example...I had a Production line DOWN for a needed consumable that nobody let me know we were out of. I ordered 2 "FedEx Red" for next day early A.M. delivery, and a case regular ground for my inventory. The next day, nothing... by noon I called FedEx."It is not guaranteed early A.M." was their reply.Long story short, 3 days later, the case arrived. 5 days later the "expedited" parts arrived that I had paid through the nose in shipping for.
Thanks Paul and Scott. I was beginning to think I was being singled out. It seems like SOP for FedEx tracking to be unreliable. It just infuriates me to see a Delivery exceptions that they say was my fault. My home, according to them, was CLOSED Friday at 7:20 pm when they attempted delivery. Oh well.....Really can't change that can we?
We refer to our local Fed Ex delivery driver as "Mr. smells good" Because of the quantity of cologne he wears. It smells like his truck is drenched in it and the smell lingers after he departs. IMO that guy is smoking something. The only reason to wear that much cologne is to cover something up! We call the UPS guy "the thug" because all our packages arrive with the corners beaten off of them. Anyhoo, we all heave a sigh of relief when we see that the good old USPS will be delivering.
USPS is horrible, their own tracking tells on them. I went to the post office last month because their tracking showed my package had been delivered, it HADN'T. The lady at the counter said that the carrier was new and when it gets dark, she brings the packages back. I asked for my package and she said oh its back out for delivery today, hopefully she will get it to you today.Oh and if its raining and your package can't be crammed into the mailbox, you won't get it that day, she WILL NOT get out when it's raining.
Bret that is not a router table fence, it's my table sander

Hmmm... So much for the Postman's Creed: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"I guess they no longer teach that in Postman Orientation!
