Took delivery of a 25 caliber impact.  Sad to say, I don't like it 😐 Don't like the balancing point, don't like the dimensions or angle of the grip.  It's heavier than my crown.  I like the adjusters and controls on my crown better.  And it's not as natural to point.  Single shot loading is also very awkward.

Aww bummer!  That’s an expensive rifle to NOT like it.  Maybe you will get used to it over time and use.

I figured I'd give it a whirl.  But I have far too many hangups with it.  Maybe a Leyla is in my future.    I don't need something as powerful as the impact anyhow, I just came across a deal I couldnt pass.

Pipe or RYO?

MYO, but it is marketed as pipe tobacco.   Daughters and Ryan Ramback Balkan from Pipes and Cigars dot com.   Pic says 14oz, but it is 16oz.

Oops, didn't realize that the bag now says "2 Daughters" and not "Daughters and Ryan".

I used to correspond with Mark Ryan, the owner, a few years ago and he would send me samples of tobaccos to try.   Somehow, we lost touch.

Bought a new scope for the Hercules, it will be a 6-24 x 50mm with mildot.  Decided to up the game with this gun. It's starting to grow on me a little. A far cry from the Carnivore that I purchased years ago.

I found this one on Ebay, no it's not a name brand but is similar to a centerpoint scope. Since it is going a pcp gun it should be fine for what I am doing with it. Half my battle is getting stuff to a P.O. Box.

I have a couple of those, they are pretty good scopes. very clear glass!  I had one mounted on my Maximus and it did very well!

got to stay off the bargain gate- a Tasco 2.5x10x42 AO Varmint for $30 on Amazon. at this rate I won't be ordering my HW85 any time soon  lol

Thanks for the info, I have a CP 4x16 40mm on the Hercules right now.  The Herc has the potential of being a head popper over 50 yrds and I needed a scope that could improve the sight picture down range. It's good to know that it can take some abuse.

It should be renamed as the "Enabler Gate". No doubt it's tough to stay out of.
