Picked up a one piece offset picatinny scope mount and I ordered a set of inserts to use it on a dovetail rail.... for no particular reason other than to have the option.
..... actually, a reason just came to me.... I have a QB-57 and an NCStar compact scope.

Received the monitor today (Sunday) via USPS.

1920x1200 aspect ratio. This replaces the same monitor that was stolen back in February.

I like the more "squarish" aspect ratio because it shows more vertically than 16:9 (1920x1080) monitors. So I don't have to scroll the mouse nearly as much when dealing with documents, etc.

1920x1080 may be the norm today and it is good for most videos. However, as I read a lot online, the 16:10 aspect ratio works MUCH better! Also, this monitor can be turned 90 degrees so I can see long documents even easier!

Yeah, not exactly AG related... except, I use this monitor to read here. (grin)

Ordered a Beeman Predator, Model 1079 from amazon tonight for $63 shipped. It should be here Weds. Got it on installments for $12 month so maybe it's a good deal, maybe not. I guess I will see. It's funny it says its 495 fps then down the list further it says its 1000fps. I guess I will find that out too LOL. Either way it will be a good can popper along with the Air Hawk Elite II I bought this weekend also. ( Heh heh these are like air gun crack for tinkerers ) .

I was looking at the Beeman Predator 1070 (yours was the 1079?) on Amazon. This appears to be a youth model breakbarrel so 495fps is likely correct. NOTHING WRONG with that as I have a couple youth breakbarrels that are super fun and very accurate to shoot. The Predator does look nice in Camo Stock.

I also have the refurbished Ruger AirHawk Elite II and think it is an excellent bargain for a gas-spring break barrel. My only complaint was the trigger. It will never be a match grade trigger, but it can be modified & adjusted to become "pretty good". If you like yours as received, sweet!

Hey Michael you're right it is a 1070 in the advertisement. I bought it thinking it was the 495fps model anyways so its good with me. The advertisement says both 495 and 1000 so it is confusing. Either way I don't care as it is some thing to tinker with and I have enough " springs and things" to make it shoot harder. As for the trigger on the Air Hawk a gritty or hard trigger is no big deal for me as I prefer a "beefy" trigger to a lighter one. Thanks for the information, much appreciated.

After talking with some folks at local machine shops about having them fabricate a metal stock that would fit my Benjamin Trail NP air pistols and being told that they "don't do that type of thing" or "come back in a month," I gave up on having a real machinist perform the work.

Possibly for the best outcome as well as learning experience, I went to Lowe's and bought the materials, parts, and tools that I think I'll need to do this project on my own.

I ordered a Hill 30 hammer kit. It comes with the hammer and a Hill 262 spring. I also ordered a couple lighter valve springs to play around with in my ebay-rod. I was going to order a 2nd hammer kit and try this 1st gen ss valve out but decided to go a different route.
