Hey Guys, I dropped this in my other post but figured it might fall through the cracks so I wanted to post it with the appropriate subject. I looked at my trigger to adjust it and there is what looks to be part of a spring over the adjustment screw, I am guessing this is not normal but wanted confirmation since I am not familiar with this gun\trigger.
Thanks,
Travis

I believe it's a "holding wire" for want of the technical term. I've seen them before in other applications. It ensures that a screw does not rotate. You can lift it out of the way with a small screwdriver, make your adjustments and then, to keep them as you want them, put the wire back.

Hey AM1958,
Thanks for the info, it just looked a bit out of the ordinary and I did not hear mention of it before. Good to know that it is normal.

I'd wait for some confirmation from others but that's what I take it to be having seen such devices elsewhere.

I posted on your other thread. It's from the tension spring on the trigger. It's normal. Just move it aside if you want to adjust the trigger screw. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new shooter.

Bwana is correct. You will find lots of information in the GTA Library. Just look. Here is link from GTA Library with same trigger as yours.

I just move mine aside, that's it.
what I notice is, when I send the screw all the way down the pull is longer but (softer)
and when screw is up the pull is shorter but a litter (harder) and rougher.
So I like mines all the way down. ( I think we all like it all the way down, lol just kidding )

Thanks, mine does not seem to do anything no matter how far I screw it, wonder if the screw or the threads are stripped.. I did not put any pressure on it, hmmmm how many turns did you adjust? I really like a very short trigger cycle. Just dont want to turn it too much, is that possible?

The trigger adjustment screw goes into a plastic nut that could get stripped, but not likely. If you want to adjust it and not push the tolerances too far then screw it all the way in and then back it out a full turn. Shoot with it for awhile and then back it out 1/4 turn at a time until you like the feel. If you never like the feel then order a GRT and replace it. I've polished all of my crosman triggers and they are fine for what I shoot.
