HW95, HW 90 or HW97 ?

I want to shoot out to 50 yards with quarter += size groups. 

What one of the three (out of the box)  is best for this ?

I'd say Hw97 or an hw98 (target model of a hw95). Both known for phenomenal accuracy. Watch some verminhunterstv videos on these guns for proof if need be.... Or just to see some cracking groups with these guns.

I agree.  97 or 98.

I am editing this to add it will be tough to get a quarter size group at 50 yards on a regular basis with any of these rifles.  It will be tough with most rifles, including PCPs.  That said of the ones listed the 97 or, one not mentioned but a HW, the 98.  I see you are in Fort Worth.  Get a 97 or 98 and come join us for FT matches in Granbury, Arlington, and Dallas.  You can PM me for details.

  Talk to Joe Palone here on the forum I think he has both (PaloneJ) don't tell him I said this but he is a really great guy and awesome shot with a springer. I do not think you can go wrong with a Beeman or Weirauch springer. I just got a practically brand new RX2  .20 caliber, it is an amazingly accurate rifle and as accurate as any rifle I own.

I have a 97 and a 98 and both are awesome rifles!!
I had both tuned straight out of the box so I can't answer how they shoot stock.
But tuned they are simply amazing!!!
I shoot both out to 75 yards regularly and they are quite accurate and easy to shoot well.
Neither is too hold sensitive or pellet picky.
Both are very reliable and built like tanks.
The 98 is just as accurate as the 97 and easier to load.
98 is lighter.
Both will do what you are looking for IF you take the time to find their favorite pellet, DOMES, and hold.
Both will do better than quarter size groups at 50.....I just posted 2, 5 shot group at 50 from the bench yesterday. Both were a hair over 1/2".
You can't go wrong with either!

The hw 90 .22

Weirauch HW90 = Beeman RX2 the only major difference is the HW90 comes with open sights the RX2 needs to mount a decent scope. Mechanically same rifle and as the owner of an RX2  .20 I am amazed at the accuracy of this break barrel

From the three choices listed, I would pick the 97 as the best candidate for accurate shooting out to 50 yards.  However, you would be remiss not to seriously consider the HW98.  It would be the one I would choose for shooting groups at 50.  As noted above, the HW98 is lighter in weight (although off a bench it isn't an issue) and is easier to load than the 97.  My HW98 is the best shooting springer I've owned for shooting longer distances -- although the TX200 is no slouch either.  It (the 98) is not hold sensitive and is as accurate a springer as I've seen or had.

I have owned or shot all three and my choice would be the HW90 in .177 by far. No need to tune, however, I would lower the pressure to shoot it a little bit more comfortable. An absolute laserbeam tagdriver at 50y.

I have been thinking about that myself. But I want to give it some more time and see if I just need to teach myself how this thing wants to be shot. Or maybe I'll have to give in and lower the pressure a tad. I guess if I just bought whatever adapter I need I could raise it or lower it at will. Hmmmm

to lower the gas pressure is easy and just a light tap on the Schrader pin will allow fore incremental adjustments then just use the chrony for the best adjustments I have my .20 shooting a right around 900 fps for 20 fpe with the 11.42 Beeman FTP pellets

Great choice! Out of the 2 guns I sold, the 98 is the one I deeply regret selling! Deeply! 
And if I could, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Good choice. What caliber and who is tuning it? If its AoA save your money and have them send it to motorhead if your closer to the west coast or John in PA if its the east coast. Either tuner will truly tune your 98.

AoA will just put an upgraded spring and call it tuned. When the above tuners tune a rifle they bring it to another level.

This is on the Vortek website. Jim at Precision is also an authorized Vortek tuner so he must be good. If I was getting a springer tuned it would be John in PA or Scott(motorhead). They are both know to get the best out of a rifle. Both are easy to deal with.
