That is a fine piece of art that is for sure. Would love to have something that looked that good. You have done an outstanding job.
Just out of curiosity, how heavy is it?
And let us know how she groups!
Excellent Job,

Ok I got to poke holes in some paper today. First let me say I have to get a bigger bottle. I went and filled my Ninja 90ci at the paintball field. They only got to 4100psi and by the time I got home and it cooled it was 3900psi. So that's where I started today at 3900psi but the regulator was acting up again and only putting out 2700psi. So all this data was gathered tethered at 2700 and lower psi. I'm using the new 12.5lb spring I installed. Until I get a reliable air source I don't know what I can get out of it. The 79's didn't group well but the 95's seemed better. The 110's seemed the best so far.

The 110 gn BBTs are showing excellent promise. One thing you learned is you are going to need a lot more air on hand LOL. I learned this the hard way too.
Nice work!

In case you didn't know, that is about the same power as a .308 DAQ Exile.... Mine shot 835 with a 118 gr. Lee FN.... I would say you will definitely want 95-110 gr., the 79 gr. will likely be too light for that gun....

I'm concerned about the 1-20 twist rate. I'm I exceeding the fps for this bullets with this twist rate? I can go back to the 10lbs spring if I need to.

Likely not a problem, considering the groups you are getting.... The calculations say an 18" twist for the 110 gr., but what I am learning is that the boattail compensation in the twist calculator I am using (Kolbe) seems to overcompensate on rebated boattails.... Every one I have designed, so far, works in a slower twist than the theory suggests.... So, if it works and is accurate, don't worry about it....

Ok think I'll try some as cast next time. Do you think a lube is needed?

Ok did some more testing today at 100yds. Wind was 11mph with gust.
Tried some as cast 110gr and they just shotgunned.
Went back to the sized to .308 had a 2" group.
I tried unsized and lubed with Hornady One Shot shotgunned with those.
After that I was just throwing lead downrange and was hitting a 6" gong at 150yds No pics ok but it was fun.

My thumb drive that I was using to take my drawings to and from work messed up. I keep forgetting to transfer them to a new drive because the drive works at work but not on my home computer. I think Windows 7 at work did something to it. Going thru my notes I think the throat was .3125 and the exhaust was .232.

GREAT WORK and sorry i'm late to the party.
What a gorgeous gun sir. I've read all the pages from beginning to now and i'm speechless and so envious. Wish i had the proper tooling to build my own gun.
If you have the TJ 1-20" twist barrel, you should see some good grouping with 115-150 gr bullets also. I had that same barrel on my original Corsair 308. I bought a RCBS 150 gr FP mold (not the cowboy one but the other one) and had it HP'd and OH MY gosh that bullet was accurate. RJ porter at
http://www.accuratebigboreairgunammo.com/
now owns that mold for ME. He has a good selection of 308 bullets to try.
