While I have never had one, I have wanted one since I was 15 years old (21 years ago)My best friend had a Blue Streak when I was about that age and I was green with envy. He became an excellent shot with the Sheridan. I watched him take a running rabbit once, leading the rabbit like shooting ducks with a shotgun.Recently a friend at work heard I liked to fix old airguns. He brought over five old pumpers: two Sheridans, two 760's and a Crosman 101. The deal was I got to keep one of the Blue Streaks for making them all shooters again. Now after 40 years I finally own my own Sheridan. But the gun that really impressed me was the Crosman 101. I never saw one before. I loved the simple and robust design. It was very accurate too, on a par with the Sheridan. I watched and waited and before long I had a 101 in my collection too. These two old pumpers have a special place in my little arsenal. I think together they represent the the best American made air rifles.Jon
3 Sheridans, 2 392s, 1 347, 2 old 760s, 2 140s, 1 101 and in the mail is a Rochester in my arsenal.... see where I'm going with this collection? Oh, And I have an Apache on hold.
.... see where I'm going with this collection?
I'm thinkin it's worth it. I'll just wear long sleeve on the other side.
I'm new to air gunning, so please excuse this question in advance. Aren't the Crosman/Benjamins all MANUFACTURED in China, then ASSEMBLED in the USA? Or, is this something that's just been done recently?

Considering German quality and a full tune with a Vortek kit in the D34P, I don't think this is a step backwards.

Great thread I have an addiction to old Crosman pumpers well all Crosmans but I keep a space in my hart for pumpers. It all started a few years ago when I won an auction lot on an old air rifle. I didn't know it was a collective auction if a lot wasn't bid on it was added the next lot till someone wanted to bid on it and it was me I ended up with 14 air rifles. In it was a 140 a 766 and some other good rifles a model 70 a Hahn BB repeater and a Upton model 20/30.I sold some of the other stuff and just couldn't stop myself and have now acquired 2 Model 12 magnum 2200 phase 1 Crome receiver.1 Magnum 21001 766 nickel receiver black stock and foregrip.1 766 phase 11 761XL gold Receiver1 760 Sportsmans guide limited edition gold rifle.1 760 pink (my Daughters Honestly)1 147 2 140 1 M4-177I 101 non standard stock and foregrip. And I finally got my hands on a Dan It's a Racine Dan Bluestreak but has a C serial number not CB I have bought a few other Crosmans as well Co2 ones and a v350 all this and I'm in UK older Crosman are doubly hard to come by.
