I have a Case Logic Camera bag for my DSLR Camera that is outstanding, they also make backpacks that can carry your Tri-Pod which should work great for a pump. I know they are a little on the high side in cost, but some are warranted for up to 25 years.

 My carry bag is great, solid rubberized bottom plenty of room for a buddy bottle, pump and anything else for the trip, maybe even room for some lunch! Look at the link below and find a backpack you like then maybe do a search on Ebay or Amazon and you may find one cheaper, but they are well worth every penny! I have 2 and highly recommend them.

they have 3 or 4 shoulder straps,priceless,might be the most stand apart thing they make.
all of there bags&backpacks&rollers are the finest

The Sumatra got a nice leather sling, and so I know how I'll carry it. Wondering about a backpack perhaps with some sort of strap system. Of course I'll want to carry a supply of pellets, water, munchies, etc.

A technical mountain skiing backpack will often have ski slots in the sides that would be excellent for your hill pump. Many of the come in sm, med and lg which is mandatory if you are taller than average. Most single size backpacks are designed to fit someone 5'-6"-5'-8" and don't have enough length to support a long 7 lb. pump adequately. Don't be put off by photos that are always taken with the pack fully expanded and make the pack look too big for your needs. They all are equipped with at least four compression straps that will pull the load closer to your back and make the load more rigid so it will ride properly on your hips. And if you need the extra room, it's always available.

But it has the Avalung for avalanche safety which pushes the price up. I remove the Avalung for summer use and love the built in accommodation for a hydration bag.

The most important thing is the pack fits your torso and has a comfortable suspension system with the features you need. Don't hesitate to buy top quality. A good pack can take many years of hard use and will repay you many times over in comfort.

I put a buddy bottle in my pack and leave the pump in my Jeep.
If its an extended trek (read: overnight spiked out) then I bring my pump.
Wally World sells a Remington brand hunting backpack with a little side pocket on the bottom left corner... undo the little zipper and a small nylon pouch with straps drops down. Its for putting the butt of your gun in so you can strap it to your pack, complete with cinching straps on the side of the pack. My Hill Mk3 pump fits right where the rifle goes and its on the left side of the pack so if you're right handed it doesn't interfere with slinging your air gun. The pack was $25 or so.
Plenty of space for anything else you need for a couple days in the woods + a hydration bladder pocket.
