Blue Streak numbers.

So I decided to run the blue streak over the chrony tonight before the sun dropped.  I set my stepson off to the side with the digital read out and had him scribble the numbers for me. I did 4 sets of 10 shots. ranging from 2 pumps to 8 pumps. The 8 pump was only for 3 shots.  Here are the results.  Tell me what you think and what yours is shooting like.

I have no clue the limitations of pumping this rifle up.  Anyone have an idea? 8 pumps were pretty tough to do but then again I have a messed up back.  Accuracy is pretty good using these benji pellets.  around 1" at 12 yards off hand standing. See pic. I love the way this rifle shoots.  Now I just need to find out what it likes to eat.  What do you feed to yours.

8 pumps is it.
If you get the MAC1 Steroid upgrade (Why?) you can pump 14 times.
You have discovered it is not practical or hardly needed to pump beyond 6 pumps.
It is like forcing more powder in a rifle cartridge.
Sometimes 30% more powder results in only a 10% increase in speed.

I think for smacking pest around the house this will work just fine with out getting it tuned.  Just need to get a small scope mounted on it.

Not sure what fps mine shoots, but today I shot a large male gray squirrel that was 20 feet from me. The pellet entered the right shoulder and exited the left rib cage. Then it passed through the 1/2" cedar fence picket behind the squirrel, went 100 feet across a pipeline right-of-way and smacked the fence of the property on the other side. And that was only at 6 pumps using a JSB 13.73 gr pellet.

Trajectory of a .177 with knockdown power of a .22. That is why a lot of the better FT shooters are switching to .20.

it looks sweet. I figured it was from mac1 but don't remember seeing then on his site. did the gun need to be altered at all in order to fit it? I might have to look into getting one, perhaps if/when I have my receiver drilled and tapped for the Williams peep.

Yes the front site was moved back about 2". It took me awhile to make up my mind to have it done mainly because the gun is a classic.

The last three columns was a test to see just how much each pump added.

This afternoon, I had a squirrel eating out of my bird feeder about 25' from my back porch. I grabbed my Blue Streak, pumped it up 7 times and filled the rear peep sight with gray hair. I squeezed of a shot and the old nutter went down hard. The pellet went clean through its neck, across the horse lot, through the wooden fence, crossed the highway, went completely through a 2 foot diameter oak tree and ZIP!........... it kept on going.

About 2 hours later, I was eating a hamburger with the family on the back yard picnic table. I heard a whisping sound and a ping. Not quite hard enough the knock over the Heinz bottle but close. There it was, the old .20 mushroomed pellet spinning in circles on my plate.

Those old Blue Streaks are tough. I'm thinking about sending to Mac 1 Air and getting the thing Steroided this summer.

Your fps #'s seem quite good to me, better than I would expect from a stock BS with 14.3g pellets.

14 pumps?  uug.  I was having a hard time at 8. lol

10 pumps and mine reports like my FD-PCP. And it's an original 1969. I rarely pump it more than 5.
