What makes some break barrel rifles hit near perfect right out othe box?

Luck definitely must be involved, but those cases where the gun is hitting right on the bull without touching the sight adjustments I would attribute to the hands of the Quality Control. Yes, I mean literally. Most air guns are mass produced, and especially on the cheap end of the spectrum there isn't much cash attributed to QC, so most guns get little more than a cursory look over. But some guns have to be grabbed, set up and fired to confirm that the manufacturing line isn't building only lemons. It may be one in 100 or one in 10000, that's where the price you pay for the end product has a big effect. Of course, once the test is over and the product is known to be working as intended, it's put back on the line to be packaged and sold.

And so, some time later, a lucky someone somewhere buys an air gun that needs absolutely nothing but a pellet to start shooting right.

i guess sometimes you just need to be lucky... othertimes just need to have the cash to go up there
