Wife said her aunt had one of those trees.  She bought/sold clothes for Straus Dept. Store.  She was a rich and trendy lady.  She saw  those tress in California and at that time had never seen one in Ohio.  My wife said she had the light up revolving stand too.

What size tree..6ft? Can't wait to see it!  I keep a couple of small spot lights around the tree pointed upwards,and use the color wheel for short periods of time. Try and save the life of the color wheel motor and bulb,since they are around 50 yrs. old!

Haven't looked at the box but believe mine is 4'. It's the 53 branch model. Tried taking a few pics last night. Will try again and possibly use a tripod next time. Shutter is slow in low light and I'm not the steadiest person.

Also trying to get acquainted with my new camera. Bought it mainly as a true HD video taker and for slo-mo scope shooting video.

Our family had one of those silver foiled Christmas trees....I think it was back in the mid-70's.
