Solder is normally a $25 add on to a Dan Repair. Figure a Rocker with a Steroid Reseal, front plug and solder job will run about $150. Please don't send me any that have been JB welded. That is way too much work to resolder. Once they have been glued get a good size Zip Tie to hold it down and live with it. For guns that have not yet had a solder joint issue, get the rear sight off there, before WE SEE dEjA vU ALL OVER AGAIN.TimmyMac1
My fix for my childhood 1976 SS. I recently had my Dad send it to me. The barrel was separated to the point you could actually see under the barrel not just see light. Once I popped off the rear sight the barrel relaxed to just being able to see light in a small area. I put just enough tension on the wires to bring the barrel all the way down. I reattached the rear sight with a newer version of the triangle grips that look more stamped than solid that held the sight much looser but still tight. The barrel did not rise any at all. She shoots as straight as she ever did.Maybe one day if she ever needs to be resealed I will get it repaired but just don't want to disturb "Precious" too much. It is the gun that started it all for me.Thanks to everyone for a really great site full of info.Thomas

How much would that cost, alone ?
