I just turned it off... Its ringing like the salvation army volunteer's bell in front of Walmart!!
If live close to an airport, expect it to ring for no reason. Planes set mine off when they are on approach to LAX. I'm not kidding.

Hmm, it's a passive infrared sensor so those that report morning/evening sunlight causing false alarms makes sense. But I'm not sure what about a plane would do that. I put mine in an old plastic coffee can to keep it dry and it also shades it from the sunlight. When it goes off, I trust implicitly that something was there. That would be such a letdown to keep hearing false alarms, haha!
Thanks guys! Hey on that ding-donger... before you head over to make your shot, is there some sort of 'mute' you can set (or turn it off) so that it doesn't ding-dong while you've got the back window open? Doesnt't that make too much noise?What do you do?
