Group with the new baffles. I have to say when I first started shooting I was worried. They were not grouping very well. But it took about 10-15 shots for them to start grouping well. I was worried for a moment.

This is 5 shots from 40 with one flier.

Thanks for the additional info about the printed parts, and the sound recording. It sounds very quiet.
The printing really does open up some possibilities for lots of different applications. Thanks for sharing all that information.

And nice grouping at 40 yds, too!

Hey man i feel like in one of your threads you were talking about how you had two disco pressure tubes. Just wondering how you got the second. I saw they sell them in europe from one site, and i'm sure crosman would sell you one if you called but i can't find anyone else that sells them or a ballpark price.

So if you know the price and where i'd appreciate the info if not i'll just call crosman tomorrow.

I figure give an update.

I have been trying to get the TJ barrel to work and tried a few things to make it work. Harmonics seam to have an effect on the barrel. The first thing I tried was barrel weights. They helped but they not enough for my liking. the next thing I tried. was putting a Carbon fiver sleeve on the barrel. This did the trick. After about 10 shots I knew it was done. It is shooting great.

here is the sleeve:

New CF shroud:

Now some groups - 40 yards - 15 consecutive shots. groups of 5

A few other mods:
added two breech screw to lock down the breech. Similar to the screws on the mrod. these are 4-40 screws. Now the breech has 4 attachment points.

The last mod is the adjustable butt place:

I know I have said this many times, But I think I'm finally done with this gun. I ran out of mods.

yeah i've seen loyd's work but the second tube wouldn't have inlets for the trigger and cocking linkage for the spring hammer would it? i've been looking around at parts all day. It seems most people start with a gun and then change it to something completely their own. Bnm breech, marauder trigger, custom valve, loather walther barrel. At what point would it be better to get the air tube and valve assembly from crosman or ^&$@_=s, jds block and hpa regulated tank, marauder trigger, breech and then put everything together yourself? i'm trying to get a best bang for buck pcp and building one myself would be the way to go. I can do most metal work that uses hand tools and have more experience woodworking, so i'm hoping to be able to source the parts and make em all work together.

The disco will get expensive once you start modding. Trust me on that one. If you want a great shooting that is not that expensive maybe get a BSA. I love building my disco but not everyone wants to pore that much money into it. I could of bought a $1000++ gun by now. No regrets.

Haha it never ends! when you run out of mods there is the satisfaction of looking at the work you did, and that itch that it could somehow be better. and then you'll find something. Its hard to pull the plug and call it a job well done sometimes. But in your case that gun looks amazing. aesthetically it's one of the more beautiful pcp's i've seen. I'm not partial to carbon fiber but that really looks awesome on the shroud. I'm still new to modding air rifles and only got one cheapo pump and a springer under my belt but i can't wait to turn a pcp into something like what you've built. looks fantastic i can't imagine how much of a joy it is to shoot.

i know it'll probably be over my price range for a little while but it's nice to have a game plan. I'd also rather build a nice shooter than buy a great shooter.

Take golf. I show up with a forty dollar driver i pieced together and compete against people using the latest self adjusting top of the line four figure clubs. But if i can do my part and beat them its just so much sweeter

And thanks Daniel, you've put pleanty of info up already i think i have four feeds up on my laptop right now and two of em are yours haha. If i go with this project it'll be this summer, if i get an internship at salisbury university. I'm up for funding to build a plasma speaker but if i can maybe sneak in an air rifle part or two and start saving i'm sure i can fit it into the budget. Plus they got a small metal shop I can use

Man I wish I could get groups like that with my disco (also bnm breech/shroud) even at 25 yds! Was shooting JSBs great but now those have gone off too. Anyway...really nice mods on a great looking gun!
