That gun is beautiful, but why do you hafta make me jealous like that? Im just getting into this, and love my stock disco with a tko brake, but i want to mod it. The problem is, every time i see one of these sweet builds, i wanna start spending time and money i don't have right now. Oh well, someday. For now, I'm gonna lighten the hammer, put in a power adjuster, do the trigger and barrel band and lap the barrel, oh and cut the back of the bolt so i can actually lay a pellet in the breach (idk why they don't do that at the factory?).

Does anyone make nice left handed stocks for these? Whats the bottle setup and regulator worth, where do i look for that stuff and how does it compare to a double kit? Can you explain the retractable bolt? I think i get the concept, but how does it retract, and where does it seal?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm just trying to understand this stuff so i know what i want to do when the day comes. You guys can pm me if you don't wanna clutter up this thread. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

you can find the cost of the bottle kit at JDS airman. The bottle kit gives more more air than the double tube but it also has power limitation. you can get a lot more power with the double tube.

The retractable bolt work by pull it backwards, in a J shape. This with not work on a regular disco breech. What seals the probe is an oring in the breech.

I bought my stock from norm and I believe he also sell left handed stocks

What did you do for the adapter? All he shows is the 90 deg adapter and hose…

Just the probe retracts on that bolt? I just don't see an o ring groove or anything in the pic… Looks like a regular bolt that didn't get the probe shaped on it yet. I hafta be missing something.

The bolt seals with a O-ring inside the breech, so not visible from the outside.

The bolt: you push the hole bolt back back. just enough to clear the barrel port. The bolt follow a J grant instead of a L track like most bolts. There is not need of any oring groube. I don't know how else to explain it.

Everyone knows he's a good guy so they always send him plenty of work to keep him doing something. He recently took a vacation over the holidays. A much deserved one and I hope he really enjoyed himself. He's as good as they come, Lloyd too which why I have them listed in my sig to help out the new guys who come along here.

So the adapter at the bottom of the page will fit the disco tube? I guess i just looked at what he had in his section labeled discoveries. I did find the regulated bottles i guess, and am definitely thinking thats the way to go. Your shot strings are hard for me to imagine. I don't know, but i don't think there are many projectile weapons in the world that produce that kind of consistency.  Also, i would be able to mount that on my stock gun without the bnm breech right? I understand I'm gonna hafta modify my tube, and possibly stock, but it clears the factory barrel?

Ok, i see that the regulator is adjustable, but i don't see that he offers the 22ci tank without a regulator… If the adapter is regulated, i don't need a regulated tank do i?

Yes, you can use the bottle adaptor with the crosman breech

You need the regulator to attach the bottle to he adaptor. If you don't what to go that route you can have someone make you an adaptor to forgo the regulator.

You don't happen to know what kind of thread? Npt, bsp, orb… Im no master machinist, but i have a lathe and mill, and if i spend enough time on it, i can usualy make what i want, but sometimes its better to just buy it.

If you going to make it yourself, remember you are working with pressures that are potentially lethal if something goes wrong.
So material selection, bolt quality, bolt placement, threading, and everything else needs to be of the proper quality to handle the mechanical stresses involved.

I'm still working on the barrel with the weights and it is getting close to where I wanted to be.

In the meantime, I started another project...Actually is is done.

I copied the baffle system on the syn mrod. I made a 3D model and sent to get printed. It uses 7 baffles and spring.

Gun is quieter. I have not test accuracy with them. The only problem I had is that I used a spring to keep them in place but the spring was vibrating (ping) when I fired. I wrapped it with electrical tape and that did the trick.

How sturdy are those baffles? What kind of plastic are they made out of?

The are very study. I'm not sure what kind of plastic. I sanded them a little and the plastic was tough. I also cut one shooter and it was hard to saw. which is a good sign. At first I thought I went too thin (1mm) thickness. But after installing them I have not regrets. The gun is very quiet.

here is a recording. I spoke to give an idea of the sound level. I was standing 3 feet away when I spoke and I shot 3 inches from the phone.

If I was going to do them again I might go .5mm thicker. but no need. One thin is that the surface is not completely smooth, kind of speckled. That is why I sanded the pellet hole.

I even though I could design a full LDC and printed it as one piece
