those are the utg bipods,

they come with an attachment for mounting to the swivel stud.

or if you just want to mount a short piece of rail on your stock,it can be used without the adapter.

Thanks for the info, Chris.  Not arguing the Optics Planet(OP) is not competitive.  They really do have the largest selection on in stock gear at a fair price.

I just prefer Amazon Prime.  All shipping is 2 day and you can return for any reason and they pay the return shipping.  OP ships for free, but it takes 10 days to process and ship to LA (Lower Alabama) and unless defective they do not pay return shipping (sometimes they even charge a restocking fee).  I ordered a Contender scope from them on 2 jun 2013 and it is due this thurs or fri.  I guess I am not patient enough.   

Anyway I am going to install tomorrow and will post a report and photos.  Still not looking forward to drill my Boyds Blaster stock.  But I know I am not trusting my MROD to a wood screw, I am thru bolting that baby!

I shot the MROD today.  I should have done this a long time ago!!!!!  I love the Bipod.  Now looking at a strap maybe.

I'm like you, though, a bit torn about drilling into a decent stock.  My S410 is bipodless for the moment.  I may end up putting a short weaver rail on it so if I ever decide to splurge for an Atlas bipod with QR, it's there...  For now, I lug the bags around for bench rest shooting.  I love the bipod on my Marauder, which I've got tuned to 20 fpe for around the house pesting.  I have a few lawn chairs strategically placed around the yard as impromptu benches so the chipmunks have no chance when I put one in my crosshairs.
