Too funny...somebody needs to tell him to pump it 17 times with the left hand and 14 times with the right hand....just to do it right.

Oh well, I've seen and heard a lot of experimenting since I've been involved in airguns. Folks are gonna try crazy things. Makes for funny videos...but sure takes a chance on destroying the equipment.

I don't have a YouTube account, but, if I did, I would post a comment on how dangerous this is.  Not only damaging to the gun, but the kid has absolutely horrid gun handling manners, especially with a break barrel.  I, personally, don't care if he wrecks his piston seal and spring.  (Sad, since a Gamo Silver Shadow is a nice gun.)  Sooner or later, he's going to seriously hurt himself with a bear trap.  Videos like these are the biggest downfall of YouTube.  If you click on the running video, it will take you right there.  Notice that, about the third down on the right, is how to make exploding pellets.  I wonder if Neanderthal Man had YouTube?

Another "cool" thing that this kid should try is self-castration. That would keep him from reproducing and passing along his genes. My 9yr old wanted to clean up her guns the other day.  I went up and grabbed the gun bag with all the stuff and came back down to see her where i left her - in front of the tv.  I asked if she'd changed her mind, but she simply stated that she couldn't get the guns out unless I was supervising her.  She's also self-appointed herself our "range safety officer", keeping a steely eye out for eye protection and down range danger.  I'd like to think I'm teaching her well and being a good role model, but I'd rather think that she's growing her own common sense!  I try to remember these blossomings of hope while we fight with homework and chores..

Saw that video....looks like the kid don`t know much about airguns....the repeated co cking of the barrel to increase the pellet`s speed for one thing.  He probably found out about the "Dieseling thing" and thought that`s one way to increase the pellet`s speed.  Yep...as mentioned above....he needs some knowledgable airgunner to show him the ropes.
