Sweet shooting!Remember the saying...70% shooter..30% gun
So for those who've shot both - what the consensus with regards to the TX vs 97?I'm planning on using my rifle for double duty with a fair amount of small game hunting tied in with some paper work with my kids. I was pretty well set on the TX but love the .20 option for the HW and see posts like this so regularly.Just can't decide! For the OP - great to hear your getting along so well with the new rifle. Really beautiful firearm and should serve you very well long term. I see you have quite the collection. Its going to be hard to decide what comes out of the safe!
If they made a TX in .20, I prolly would have bought one. But I am well pleased with the 97K. What I can tell you is both the TX and the 97k are the least hold sensitive guns I have shot, and thats what I needed. I can't hit a bull in the ars with a magnum airgun. I am shooting better groups at 35yrds with the TX's and the 97K, than I could shoot with other guns at 12 yrds. The 97 is a little easier to cock, and has a shorter cocking stroke. You can't go wrong with either of these guns. But the TX's with a walnut stock are just beautiful guns.
