That looks amazing. It looked pretty good as it was ,but the polishing really brought out the Character of that Beech. Great Job Jerry!
Very nice improvement on that original HW95 stock. It definitely looks a lot nicer with the polishing done to it. Ok Petey, time for you to spill the beans in a thread about how you polish stocks to look like that. I have an old San Rafael era stock on my R7 that really needs a makeover badly!
It's simple Gents,Gets a tube of good old fashioned plain white TOOTPASTE. I like Colgate, myself.Mix up a slurry with some water and using a soft rag, polish the finish. When you are done, clean up with a water soaked rag ,dry and then spritz the stock with a bit of Armorall and then buff dry.
sorry for behing making a stupid question, but i want to try this method, but i dont understand well how to do it.whats a slurry? sorry, im from Portugal, so my english its just the basicsso i should mix the Colgate with water, pick a soft rag and polish till i see it with better looking?
plus your gun will smell minty fresh...
Thanks for the information! (Now, how to do this without my family having me commited....?)
