Got a 125 Sniper Camo instead of another 125th. It's here, came a day early!

The 125th don't show to be back in stock till the16th. Sent a message to scott to see if we could work out a deal to get a 125 sniper in camo. More money but finish might be better and I don't really want to wait that long.

The stock on my sniper does not have the raised edges from casting like the th and it is quiet, all you here is a thud from the spring

I debated the same thing.  The TH is for sure the better value in terms of what you actually get.  But I wanted sling mounts and a sound modifier, and although there is hardly $90 worth of material in those parts, the time I would have spent   trying to make it happen on my own was considerable.  The adjustable stock and included strap was what narrowly edged out the TH in favor of the sniper in my mind.

I have a vision in my head though of a .25 125 TH in the darker camo (which is not available yet in the US) totally decked out with a real nice shroud and a gas ram ... But that would have to come once these guns gain significant ownership and aftermarket parts and knowledge really get going.

I like the stock on my sniper alot, not really a huge fun of thumb holes and I like the adjustable ceek rest.

Scott gave me a deal on the sniper camo that is in stock. Said they would ship it today. Paid extra for 3 day select so I will have it Friday. Been waiting on conformation it was shipping and it's driving me crazy,lol.  Almost bought a 125 sniper in .177 just so I would have it for the weekend.
   Got conformation!!! It will be a great weekend after all!!  Got 4 tins of different pellets, a Bug Buster scope and offset mount, targets and a new piston seal coming too.  If everything looks good with this one I'll take it apart and inspect everything, put it back together, shoot a couple 100 rounds through it and see how it's doing. Then take it apart, de-burr, lube, change the seal and see what effect it had.

I must say Scott really went out of his way to help me get a replacement by this weekend. I had not heard back from him by noon so I had given up all hope of having a replacement by this weekend. He got back to me this afternoon sent me a new invoice on a 125 Sniper Camo at a discount and had it shipped in a few hours.  I bet he hates me by now .
I have the patience of hawk rather than a Buzzard. I ain't waiting for it to die, I gonna kill something.

Congrats on the Sniper I think they are awesome looking.  I would have a hard time adjusting to one because I like a good loud  pop from the gun.  However I would just remove the sound modifier and have a real firecracker of a gun... lol ...

We need pics when you get it,  and a report on the performance of it too...

I would be really surprised if the do-hicky on the barrel made a bit of difference in the sound according to what I've heard about them on springers. PCP and CO2 guns seem to benifit really well though.

Yeah, I really liked my simple 125th, but the sniper really looks awesome from what I've seen. Worth the extra cause I found it's not as satisfying shooting my lower powered guns now, so this one will see a lot of use.

Doh!!! Just tracked my packages. The 125 Sniper was delivered today!! Said it would be the 13th.

cool congrates. the more I shoot mine the more I like it, even with the crappy scope that comes with it its holding good groups at 30 yds just resting my hand up against a tree.  hammer the target hard as well.

Just got home and looked it over. I can tell you the 125 Sniper is Nice!!. The blueing looks good. The barrel is evenly blued and looks great. The barrels are not polished smooth. Looks more like what you would see on a military style rifle. It all looks like the quality I expected from Hatsan. The stock is great. Much higher quality feel than the 125TH. It did have a few nicks from the scope, but you really gotta look to notice them as the camo hides scratches really well. I off to go shoot.

 Will get some pic up tomorrow.  I torn it down to look it over inside. Ended up changing the piston seal, The one in it had a cut in it that could cause air loss. De-burred and lightly moly lubed. Found some metal shavings on the inside of the piston. Cock's nice and smooth. The sniper stock is so much nicer than the regular stock. Would have loved to had this stock in the shape of the thumbhole stock.
 Only downside is I can't use the 3-9 x 32AO Bug Buster scope even with the offset mount at the end of the rail.

Glad your'e having better luck. It really is starting to sound like Hatasan put the emphasis on the Snipers and are leaving the 125's to less stringent controls.

Still, you would think that all AG manufacturers, not just Hatsan, would have by now realized how important getting one of the most critical parts of an AG powerplant (seal) installed without damage is. You can have the most well built AG, and it's going to perform like a dog if you mangle the seal while installing it.  That and keeping machining debris out of the action.
