Went to shoot my WFH 25 cal today and see what kind of chrony reading I would get.Got this back from Rane Air last year and only shot it twice right after it came back to make sure it was functioning. Seemed smoother. Put it on the shelf until today. On the first cocking the stock broke in half at the pistol grip. Can these be glued back together? Any one know of replacement stocks or even if a wood stock would fit. I'm disgusted only have about 100 rounds through this. Will try to post some pics later. Their on my desktop.
Hi tarheel,I appreciate the tip but it won't work on a hollow plastic stock. I did use that to fix an Evanix stock but it was wood and broke almost in the same place. Must be jinxed to have that happen twice to me. I don't think any glue is strong enough to fix this. Maybe I can fill it with Bondo?
You might call Umarex for a replacement stock: phone#479-646-4210 ext 7. I hear their repair service isn't so good so its better to buy the stock and replace it yourself. You might check if there are any fiberglass boat builders in your area. I'm thinking you might be able to fill the stock with epoxy mixed with fiberglass. I'm not experienced enough though, but a good boat builder might have the know how.
