I need help with my gp. Cant seem to get accuracy under control i tried different scopes. Replaced plastic barell washers with 5/16 brass ones. Lube and tune. Lock tighted all bolts. Detuna trigger. About all that is left is the barrel. Crosman sells them cheap i was wondering if i can add the long npxl barrel to it? My gun is. 177 can i change it to. 22 or. 25? What barrels interchange?

Try the artillery hold and different pellets. And shoot it a lot, like 500+ pellets.

check the crown on the barrel and see if its any good my g1 extreme had a very bad crown and just shot all over the place till it got recrowned and accuracy improved . and as stated above a nice light hold on the rifle and find what pellet it likes......dave

i have been shotting along time but i have never seen anything so hold sensitive as shooting airguns. Only been shooting a year but with the help of everyone here I've learned how to shoot. (lots of frustration in the process) Shooting nitro piston's and springer's takes a certain nack and allot of pratice. Relax and hold loose best advice i ever got. hang in there accuracy will come.

Have you checked the piston seal.
Accuracy will be nonexistent if the seal is cooked.

The seal is ok no damage. What is the proper way to check barrel crown. Also what barrels interchange in the benjamin break barrels. Rather than reccrown it prob just get a new one. Maybe longer and in. 22

Q-tips.
Use the Q-tips, put it in the barrel at the crown, turn slow and remove slowly. Check to see if any of the cotton strands gets hooked up at the crown.
This will indicate a bad crown and fixing will be needed.

Did you clean the barrel? Googone, or jb bore paste & brass brush? This works wonders on my Crosmans, and they are both serious shooters. Is the barrel straight? Other than that, i would get it over a chrony to check for consistency. You may have a piston seal issue. Good luck.

also check the tapper is consistant or even allthe way around the bore. what actually happenes is the pellet leaves part of the part of the barrel on one side before the other which effects accuracy......

Well seems strands fron qtip are being pulled off. So i am going to order a barrel. Which titan barrels interchange

you could send it to someone idk exactly who but id try emailing charels at mellonair.com and ask him if he could take and chop ur barrel by a half inch and recrown it. ive bought one of this crosman .22 pcp/co2 barrels from him before and he cuts those barrels and recrowns them to a polished mirror shine. perfect cut and perfect crown, all you would need to do is remove the barrel, package and ship it to him, pay him and pay for return shipping. which shouldnt really be that much considering the shape of the barrel and breech on the titan and the length. a round cylinder shipping container properly padded would hand it.

Well my gun was the 695 fps i added the 1000 fps gas spring. Its .177 i would like to make it. 22 or. 25. Will the barells change? Would like a longer barrel for more accuracy and power.

if you look at ur gun the barrel and breech are all one peice so that whole peice has to be replaced to replace the barrel. thats why you can either order a new barrel assembly from crosman or send out some emails to places like mellonair.com and ask if they can chop and recrown ur barrel for you.

if it was me id rather have my barrel chopped by a half inch and then recrown by a pro because then i know the crown is perfect no questions asked.

As stated a new barrel does not guarantee a perfect crown.

i was going to tell you that getting a replacement barrel is easy but, and i say BUT thay are a chore to get to fit right. its not a quick drop in and go. you will need to fit the barrel and that my include sanding or filing the breech to fil the compression tube so that you have a straight line and no barrel droop, second you will need to order a new pin to fit the cocking arm and be able to secure that. and third you may have to work on the alive jam so that the barrel lockup is secure as well. when i did mine i even had to remove some of the lower breech block so that the rifle would cock. so sending it to mellon air for a recrown is the best way to go and they do good work .....dave
