These are all great oppinions. Here is Mine, The gas rams are way smoother to cycle and more comfortable to shoot. You can always put a Tuna Trigger in it make that thing a real sweat heart. I don't know much about the RS2 but from I read it's violent. Vilent means it may not be as accurate and may also start eating scopes on you. I prefer to keep the vibration and noise down if possible. I'm sure both are good investments. You may be able to find a smaller outlet Like Pyramid or Airguns Daily that will let you send them a money order then ship the gun. It will only take you abn extra couple days to get what you want. lets face you'll have it along time, whats ans extra couple days. Good luck to you

Get the contact number from the site. Call and ask for Mike Melick. Tell him what you want, listen to his recommendations and you should be able to get into accurate, tuned and shipped for ~ 200 bucks. He takes postal money orders, I ve sent them to him.

PS-for spring piston guns that are still manageable to shoot, and dont weigh 10 lbs, about 16 ftlbs is the most power out there for this money.....but dont worry. You can take LOTS of small-meduim stuff to ~ 30 yds with 16 at the muzzle. And still take small game to 60-70 with that power, provided the accuracy is there....

Be warned that airgun depot is fussy about returns. The gun has to be defective or they won't take it back. Also I still haven't been able to get a full refund on the defective gun I returned. I don't know if they are trying to pull a fast one or what. They only refunded part of the money. Beware of airgun depot.

I'd be surprised if pyramid air didn't accept money orders. They want business. I didn't have a credit card for years and that's how I bought things through the mail. Give them a call or email and see.

In the under $200 range pyramid offers guns that i have seen in my sporting good store so not much reason to get one online

I cannot see an advantage. The only advantage from buying online is buying from Flying Dragon Airguns. The owner lube tunes and checks for accuracy before shipping. Only problem he is a small online business and frowns upon returns especially when he checks out his guns before shipping and people return his guns because they do not know how to shoot spring air rifles.

That's what I've been saying. The RS2 with appropriate mods is about the best new gun you can get ffor under $200.

If you go with the Titan I really would suggest saving a few more bucks and getting a real scope at the very least. Wal-Mart sells a nice Center Point 3~12 X 40 piece that works nicely for about $70.

No the tasco will not hold up to the Titan. It's meant for rimfire guns...and even in them it doesn't hold up to something like a .22 mag or HMR 17...and it has nothing in the area of longevity. Tasco has completely lost it's quality I think.

The Center Point would work fine.

I honestly do not know anything about the Barska model...I would be reluctant, but maybe someone else could chime in on it.

For a bigger picture kind of thing, though, keep this in mind:

Titan GP from Wal-Mart: $149.99
CP 3~9X32 Scope: $54.97
Total + tax (8.25%) : $221.87

Expect another $8 for pellets.

Beeman RS2 from Wal Mart: $114.99
CP 3~9X32 Scope: $54.97
Total + tax (8.25%) : $183.98

Ultimately, it's up to you, and I do think you'll be happy with whichever one you get. I wanted to get the Titan right away when I saw it and it was all because of the fancy looking stock and the nitro piston. After spending some time with them both the nitro piston didn't make that big of a difference in the gun...it's a little smoother and quieter, but not $35 worth of smoother and quieter.

I'm only trying to stress the better value of the Beeman because of your budget and age...That $200 mark is probably a lot bigger a deal to you than it is for your average adult.

You could go to the classified gate and post a wtb a scope. Some of the members have ton of extra gun things.
