Alrite so what break-barrel springer/ Gam ram would yall recommend for under $200. I would use it to hunt small game(Starlings,European Sparrows,Crows, Squirrels and rabbits)and do some plinking as well, also i have been leaning towards a .22 cal but .177 would work as well. I will take suggestions from any manufacturer. Thanks

air gun depot has rws model 34 22cal refurb for 150 right now or the combo for 190 i dont know much about this gun but here good things on here !

I'm really, really liking my Nitro Venom .22 ........... can shoot it more accuratly than my RWS 34.

It's definatly my favorite springer to shoot at the moment

After a little work on the stock now it's extremely comfortable too

It is a picture of my friends rifle and I like its power in .22 and the 34 has crossed my mind, I do not own a credit card. (Im 14) My parents wont let me use theirs -_-. And the venom sounds good lets see if I can find one.

From what I can tell, though, it's the same gun as the Titan GP...only different stock. After you get it, plus tax, and a decent scope, though, you'll be over that $200 mark.

You might PM airgunsdaily. He's going to get some more of the low velocity Titan's up soon. When they come back they'll be $85 a piece and they shoot almost as hard as the GP at Wal-Mart. That gun, $15 for shipping, $50 for a good scope, and $20 for a dovetail/weaver adapter will have you a fairly decent gun.

I can tell you that my RS2 hits harder than my Titan GP, though, and was cheaper even with the substantial discount I got on the Titan when I bought it. You can get that RS2 at Wal-Mart for $114 + tax and it shoots acceptibly with the stock scope. For $200 you can get the RS2, an elevation adjustable dovetail/weaver adapter (a must), and a good scope and a very hard to beat package.

I was gunna suggest the 34 as well but having to pay cash im not sure where you would pick one up unless you have a cabelas, basspro or other type of store would carry it. Wally world and like stores wont carry it. If you could give yoir parents the cash and let them punch in all the info maybe you can order one that way. Or are they like my dad and wont use the internet for any type of transaction? My dad is in his 60's and wont so anything with money on the internet. Lol

If not a 34 a big cat, especially one with the steel trigger, would be a good starter with alot of potential an are usually available at most chain stores.

The Ruger Air Hawk is available at Wal-Mart for $100...which is a .177cal 34 knockoff. It's pretty tempting to me...I just don't like .177.

I did some research and there is no Venom Dusks in any walmart within a hour of me

, so at my local walmart and dicks sporting good I have the choice of the Beeman Rs2, The Beeman ram rs2, Crosman Phantom and Storm xt, The Benji Titan the silent cat, big cat 1200 or the gamo hornet

No Ruger Air Hawk? Most of the Wal-Marts have those. Keep in mind that if you contact your local store, they can have inventory transferred from another store to theirs. Sometimes they won't do it, but sometimes they do. None of the Wal-Marts will carry the Nitro Venom in the store.

If I were you I would go with the dual cal RS2. Ditch the .177 barrel...it's a little too powerful for that, I think. The Ram/etc RS2 cost another $15~30 (depending on store) and all you get is a muzzle brake and a scope that's just as dodgy.

The best deals are to be had online, though. You could always go to the post office and get a money order. Nearly all the vendors will take that.

The Wal-Mart combos do. The Dual cal has a generic 4X32. The $130 model has a 3~9X32. Both scopes are pretty shoddy...you'd do good to replace whichever you get.

At this price level? No. Not better.

The Titan is easily more accurate in my findings. The RS2 is a more violent gun and that impacts accuracy. However, both the guns are shooting nickels at 25 yards...the difference being that, when the gun is locked down, the Titan is making one large hole with 10 pellets where as the RS2 is removing the whole nickel.

Real world shooting, now that I have them both zero'ed and stable, I'm not really getting a clear lead on either one.

I really like my Titan GP. I do need to advise, though, that it's not technically within your $200 price range. The scopes are notorious on them...I bad mouth what came on my Beeman but I wouldn't hesitate to toss the crosman scope in the "bird watching only" bin and use the Beeman scope in its place. A proper scope and rings will set you back another $60~75.

That's why I suggested the reduced velocity Titan. It shoots only about 50fps slower than the full power version and you can get it from airgundepot for $105...or from the daily deal for $85+shipping. That leaves you a lot of room for accessories...of course I know you may not be able to pull off an online purchase, you've said that, but knowing the bargain you can get may be motivation to "find a way".

Gas ram rs2 or the titan gp from walmart. Then order the tuna trigger for the titan, the beeman trigger is good out of the box. Clean them and lube tune, your ready to start shooting.

Being 14, you may need an adult to go with you when you buy it.

The Crosman Nitro Venom in .22 caliber is a great choice for target-shooting, hunting, and plinking, without having to spend a lot of money !

Another thing you will want to get for it is a Charlie Da Tuna GRT-III Trigger. It is wasy to put in and will make you rifle shoot even better. They are $32.00 including postage.
