If you really like it, you should buy another one in case the first one craps out for some reason.
I usually start with an idea of a gun I’d like to acquire. Then I agonize over every gun of that model that I see for sale. The coincidence of disposable income and an available gun will determine when and what I end up with. My Crosman 1400’s were acquired at the beginning of my airgun collecting. I was looking for a 1400 to replace the Slim Line model I had as a teenager. I found a 2nd model with wood that was too good to pass on. It turned out to be a good shooter too. I was still looking for a Slim Line when I was offered a Sears model 126 19300 (1st model 1400 with a dovetail). I couldn’t pass that up. A year or so later I was offered a Slim Line. I figured by then that I was collecting 1400’s. I’ve admired quite a few 1400’s on line since then without the slightest urge to purchase.I also figured out that I wanted a 2200 with a chrome receiver. Finding one took about two years.I’m usually on the look out for several guns at the same time. Right now I’m in the market for a Crosman model 1 but if a nice model 101 or even a 140 popped up I’d grab it.
I tried having a “self imposed limit”. Unfortunately I have no self control. Fortunately I am married!I try to limit myself to two new airguns a year. It averages out to about five.
