I guess I am a collector. I’m willing to wait for the right gun to come along and I think that is the mark of a collector.
I think of air guns as inexpensive. I can’t afford to collect firearms but I can afford air guns. I suspect that I will continue accumulating vintage guns at the rate of two or three a year. I’ll also keep dabbling in modern guns too when something strikes my fancy. But I won’t spend a lot of money on it. None of my guns (vintage or otherwise) has cost me more than $200 and I have set a $250 limit on my air gun purchases. Function is also important to me. A gun doesn’t necessarily have to be in working condition when I get it but it does need to be repairable/restorable and it should be accurate.
Is price important to anyone else? Shootability?

Price and purpose.
My AA was used and double your ceiling. The Talon P used and full of all the accessories that I wanted.
The Talon and Mpup were my last two purchases and crowd the line of redundancy.
Now I am saving for another Air Force.

If you like something get a back up just in case something happens to one. But only if the price us rite for you.
I wish I were a collector. My wife says I’m a hoarder. 🔫

Can't count the number of times I've said I'll buy this one and sell that one......then kept both.
I do have numerous variations of the HW55 which I can honestly say is a sufficient number for me. Since I wouldn't sell any one of them to acquire another, I'm no longer looking, or at least not seriously looking. But if someone hands me another for an I-can't-pass-it-up price, it'll probably come home with me. Preferably another Tyrolean.
