I resealed my 1980 Racine Sheridan E about a year ago a d I remember it being very easy to do.

Good to know. I've no had a lot of CO2 guns, but everything with the seal dependent on resting against the cartridge face always developed leaks after a few cartridges. I am hoping Sheridan figured out how to keep a good seal in this E20...

I just looked at your pics there, looks like it was in good shape! There are two tools I keep seeing popping up, one with a spanner end (easy to make?) and one with a square end. The e20 seems to need the latter?
A drop of oil on the nose of the cart before installing helps.
That is how I got my pristine model F rifle so cheap... the old cart was stuck to the red face seal like glue! Several days of soaking in oil I was finally able to extract it.
