Sheridan E Series Co2 Pistol Reseal Kits?
«

Hello all!
I recently acquired a Sheridan E Series as a belated birthday gift (one more gun off the list!). It seems to fire well while it has pressure but is leaking relatively quickly from the co2 end seal (the one the 12g cartrage seals against). I have put Pellgun Oil on all the seals I can and it doesn't seem to have changed things after trying two carts a couple days apart.
Baker doesn't have any reseal kits and Mac1 currently seems to be out of stock on their kit. I found this site called "Airgunsmith" (I can't post links yet) but they only seem to offer rebuild services instead of parts?
I have the valve tool from when I rebuilt my Bluesteak so I am good there. Nervous to take it apart to get at the end seal as I am not sure how hard it would be to reassembly with existing seals. Has any one been successful reassembling without damaging the previous seals (mainly thinking of the lead ones). Also, any other sources of rebuild kits that I haven't found yet and/or just the end seal?
Thank you in advance for the assistance.
All my searching has yielded very little info on these guns (especially when compared to the wealth of knowledge on the 2xxx platform).

Hello and welcome!
you could contact Tim at Mac1 and see if they are really out and/or if he thinks they will have any in soon. He will get back to you. I have had only excellent experiences with Mac1 and can recommend Tim completely.
I also have had a great experience with Airgunsmith. They build a pretty awesome 1322 for me. communication was excellent and the quality of parts and work seems top notch. You could contact them and ask if they sell a reseal kit. never hurts to ask.
Also, I have heard only awesome things about Rick Willnecker at Precision Pellet.
http://www.airgunshop.net/
You could also contact him and ask about a reseal kit.

Thank you!
Shot a quick email to Mac1 and Tim replied within the evening and updated the site to show kits back in-stock. I will keep the other recommended sources in mind for any possible future projects.
Now to patiently wait.

Rick, at Precision Pellet, is an excellent source for hard to find parts, for classic as well as antique pellet guns. I use him almost exclusively.

I've resealed a few of the e series valves and I use a bs014 oring in place of the lead seal if it is damaged but have done a few pgp paintball guns recently that had o rings rather than lead seals fitted from new by the look
for the co2 cart seal a crosmam one fits fine and on all re seals I've done this seal is the one at fault

I was able to successfully rebuild my pistol with a MAC1 seal kit and ran a full cart through it so far with no noted leaks. I was able to get away with only replacing the end seal. Seem pretty accurate as well! As often noted, a nice report and minor muzzle flip, especially when rested. Quite enjoyable to shoot.
I am happy to see a sudden increase in talks about the Sheridan E and F series guns. Hoping some more details on increasing their efficiency comes about. Might need to start keeping an eye out for another striker to try lightening.
Any pictures of modifications done are welcome!

Count me in Corey, My new-2-Me Model F in need of help is arriving tomorrow.
Researching I saw Mac1 shows ten kits currently in stock... but I have had good luck with Rick at Precision Pellet in that past.
When it arrives and I determine what it needs I will report here if you'd like.

I got the bulk fill adapter from Mac1, A 24 oz CO2 bottle from the local paint ball complex, Got the tank filled and then proceeded to let it all out with my Ninja HPA fill station. It depresses the pin on the tank before it is screwed down and never stopps blowing out Co2.
So I then got an actual Co2 Whip and had the bottle refilled. I also had to contact Timmy Mac on how to seat the o-ring on his bulk adapter.
Once that was done I tried again and success! I took a guess on how much liquid Co2 and I got a counted 50 shots before
I
had to quit and go inside for the night.
The gun seems super light and slender and is Pop-can accurate out to my 35 yard max backyard set-up with it's blade sight. I want to mount a Williams 5D-SH peep on it now!
I did find myself instinctively reach up for a pump arm after a couple shots.

Thank you for the update Scott! It looks like it is in excellent shape! Nice set-up too! Hope you can find a pellet it likes. Would love to put a peep on my Blue Streak but since it wasn't previously tapped for it, I think I'll probably hold out for one that was and leave this one as is.
I finally figured out pictures I think (Too big previously. Oops!). So here is my Sheridan E series.
