Horrible hail. I had a feeling it was coming, though not as big. Bigger than peas, smaller than marbles. First time since we moved here that it reached this size.

Worse yet, once hail season starts, the next day often repeats it. The air smelled of violently rent juniper leaves and sagebrush. Now the sun has returned as if nothing happened.

I went to town to get the spark plugs and wash my truck and within 20 minutes the thunderstorm got here, it worked!

Shortly after getting home our power went off I didn't count on that part.

We have gotten more than 1/4" so far and it is still going.

Our power has been off for over 3 hours now. It sure is nice having my full house generator setup, this is the first time having to use it since I installed it.   

 When I started it up my wife said she forgot I did the full house hookup.

It is 10:36 PM and SCE shows that they have not even identified the cause yet. Oh well maybe by morning, I am sure it was weather related in some way. The outage I am listed at shows 824 customers impacted.

 We got the pumpkin fields planted and fertilized, then it rained, stopped for awhile, then rained real good starting about 7pm. A bit of sprinkles this am. looks to be a bit cooler today also.
A 20 percent chance of showers before 8am. Areas of smoke. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon.

Been raining since early this a.m.  just drizzle so no real accumulation.  Temps in the low eighties and very humid.  Occasional patches of sunshine.

Our power came on shortly after my post last night? Maybe before? I signed up for text notifications but the never updated me or their web site outage map. From now on I will keep an eye on the outside lights on the Church to know when it comes back on. When I signed up for updates I got a text  telling me I would see updates, it just didn't happen this time for some reason.

 Back to our weather. We got an inch of rain in about 4 hours yesterday. Today is forecast as partly cloudy skies, with a high of 84°F    and winds WSW up to 11 mph in the afternoon.

We had a nice light cooling shower.. we stayed out in it while we were working in the from yard. It came with a nice cool breeze. Then it was gone and got steamy hot.
