Me vs. My Cat

Well, my cat is kicking my butt in this regard. But, I have an excuse; Cataracts have me reduced to about 25% vision with both eyes open.

Kitty, she loves us so much that she brings her kills to the patio door, where I get to clean them up.

Her total for the week:
two baby rabbits
two Gophers
one huge rat

me, despite struggling with sight,...

one Gopher
both of these were with my Crosman 1322  .22ca "BugOut' rifle, Winchester 2x7 32 AO scope, with 14" barrel and removable shoulder stock.

I've been to my first pre-surgery appointment, a week ago this past friday, and will be going back for Pre-Op final fitting measurements and counseling apprx. March 10 (I'm not at a calendar). I would imagine that they'll have me in for surgery soon after that.
They said that my worst eye, right side (100% blurred), will get a new artificial lens fitted.  They said that I should have bionic vision at that point. Then we address the left side.

Cataract surgery with lens replacement was the best doctor visit ever.  You will see clearly right away.  You can even see at night.
You will need to get some sunglasses now because the sun will seem incredibly bright afterwards.

When my right eye started going away, I learned to shoot from the left. Now, I'm going to need to relearn shooting from the right.

OK,... so i fibbed about no pics. I found a good one.
This is one of her Rats, below, from a bit ago; perhaps a year ago?
She came to us from our wild edge which is probably 15 acres of wild hillside, which is bordered with even more open land, and, into a vast area of wild, nat'l forest, state parks, and, private conservation land.. The neighbor above us sold and moved, and, Kitty seems to have been left behind. She lived on her own for about a year and a half, working towards becoming feral. 
She lived "with us" for a year or perhaps more, before we knew we had a cat. She was living up on our roof, where she could safely sleep without getting caught by our nightly packs of Coyotes.
When we realized that she was living on our roof, we started feeding her, and we became hers.
Over the last year, she has taken out dozens of pests.
She loves rodents. And she leaves our wild birds alone, thankfully, otherwise, Sarge wouldn't let her be here.
She now spends the nights with us in the house, and sleeps on my bed, on her own little bed made from a plastic storage box, filled with an old mattress topper pad, and covered in her favorite blanket. SHe also gets covered up at night with more blankets.

At any rate,... Kitty the wild rodent hunter.

My cat just brings lizards n geckos,neighbors cat brings everthing it can,adult rabbits,rats,squirrels,moles,birds ect.

 LOL here I thought I had the only dog like cats, back when I had the wildflower nursery I had a pair that followed me everywhere, even swam across the swamp following me in my hip waders. One liked to ride in the van with me the other not so much, but after I moved from the nursery, he decided to follow the kids and the black lab Jake into the car to live with me in Collins. RIP Trey and Eddie

Cats who do that kind of activity with you are now called Adventure Cats. I could hardly believe the video showing someone x-c skiing with his cat running alongside. It’s the only kind of cat I’d consider having: a buddy cat, preferably one who can stand up to bullies.

She's spolt rotten like she should be. Since the local huntress brings me critters as well I return the favor when I get a chance. Tagged a rabbit and gave it to her then she ate the brains. Made her day practicing killing it with neck bites.

Gotta love it when cats get in on the varminting. My little one has been getting one every day or two and bringing them to the door. Always makes me smile.

Well, there is a small pool of dried blood, and a short section of rodent intestine out on the concrete pad outside of the garage door. From cleaning up lots of that stuff around here since her arrival, I'd suggest that Kitty upped her dead pest total by one Gopher today.
