No luck at the local hardware on the spring. They were either too short or the OD was too big.
I don't want to clip the stock spring so I'll just wait til we go to the city this month and go to Lowes.

I'm not going to say why but I have a "growing collection" of 12" spring stock of various sizes.
PM me the size you want and I'll measure what I have.  I could pay it forward to you if we have a size match.
If you know your size Grainger is also a source.  If you know or can convert to metric there are a couple of direct from China sellers that are cheap with free shipping (from China?) and sell pretty small quantities....

Thanks for the info and offer. I kinda like where I am right now. That may change when I add the plenum.
I shot it quite a bit today and accuracy is consistent at my intended range. If I didn't know that last shot in the 3rd mag was off the reg I wouldn't be able to tell by the accuracy.
If my calculations are close then I would need 22 more cc to gain another full mag at the current setting. The plenum only adds 15cc. So further adjustments will need to be made to reach the goal of 4 full mags.
However, I'm still averaging over 700fps and the original goal was 600+. It's almost certain I can do much better than that. Pretty sure I can get it done in the mid to high 600 range. That's (just guessing) 12 - 14 FPE with a 14.3gr pellet at the muzzle. Well within a humane pest kill at 35yds.

I happened to have a case that the NoDoze fits in like it was made for it. I picked a couple of them up cheap when an area sports shop was closing the doors. Plenty of room for the gun, scope, red dot and accessories. Also has a couple spots for tins of pellets so they aren't wandering around in the case.

Shot a couple 7 round mags of CPHP 14.3 at 20yds this morning.
1st mag in the bottom target. When I got to the top I adjusted the windage after the first shot.
Seated at the bench with front bag.
And these are not it's favorite pellet but I have 8 tins of them on hand.

This gun can keel.

In regards to the factory NOTOS mag, at least on the one I got with my gun...

I nudge the first pellet in with the nose of an ink pen just enough to feel it kinda click into place.
I have had no issues since doing this. If I don't do this the lever somtimes won't push the pellet into the breech. It might if I gave it enough force but I don't feel comfortable forcing it. I have zero issues with the modified SPA mag.

 I find a bit of silicone grease applied with a Q-Tip to the inner breach seal helps smooth out loading also.

Not saying that's a bad thing but I can't help but wonder how much of the silicone grease is getting into the barrel and what affects on fouling/accuracy it may have. I know many lube their pellets and we don't hear many diverse side affects from doing so. It would be interesting to look a little deeper into this. ( see what I did there  )

 I use the grease so sparingly, there is most likely more lubes on a factory pellet or slug already than what gets transferred.
 Speaking of hammer springs, I turned mine all the way out, and got a consistent 10 fps gain across all the previously tested pellets LOL
 I would think collapsing a couple coils would not hurt for those wanting to get lower power levels, with out choking off the barrel port like I did. There are always washer shims if needed.

I'm not going to get too aggressive with the hammer spring until i get the plenum kit and install it.
I have a couple moderating options coming in from another member today. One option being baffles for the existing factory pickle and the other a stand alone unit.

I hope this post on agn from December helps if your looking to increasing your shot count at about 600fps without any adjustments to the reg:

Here is the data using a 1.0mm x 9.0mm OD x 50mm length spring with 10mm worth of  spacers and adjustment screw half a turn counterclockwise from bottomed out.

Started at 3600 psi and stopped 65 pellets later after it dropped off the reg, climbed, then matched starting velocity. Trigger weight, bolt handle effort, and report  were noticeably reduced.  Feels like a mellow setup.

I couldn’t post an external link but, but if you search on Amazon for a 9mm od 1mm 50mm spring, you’ll find the uxcell spring I used.

Accuracy remains decent at 20m. FFT are H&N Field Target Trophies, B are N&N Barracudas, and NGT are Normas.

Amazon also has a 9mm od x 1.2mm x 50mm spring if you want to try a short stiff spring setup. With a Tamiya 5x9mm bronze bushing (from the rc car stash) as a spacer, you can have a little preload on the hammer or you can even have it in flight (haven’t tried that though). Attached is the string data in case you’re interested.

Also attached is another string with the 1mm spring and 10mm worth of spacers turned out 2 turns from max in.

Edit: The soft spring string is with another spring from the uxcell package to see how consistent they were between springs in the same bag.

Bone stock without the plenum or reg adjustments. With the availability of that plenum/Adapter kit available in black, I am certainly tempted but I am hesitant hacking the factory moderator apart.
