Did a double take and lost out on ebay

Woke up last night and checked eBay quickly, put this in my basket and did a double take and went back to makes sure I wasn't seeing stuff. Hit buy it now again and it wouldn't let me complete the transaction, and it was sold. If anyone in the forum won please post pics and congrats!!!!

For what it's worth there are ebay bid sniping tools that have been around forever.  Wished I had the service on some of the items I really wanted, but that was a long time ago before they started charging tax and airgun related items were banned:

I use a bid snipper for most auctions. Still useful to avoid price creep from other bidders.

This one had a buy it now option for $160 so that's how it went to quick.

$200 shipped is like a deal of a lifetime these days, almost too good to be true.
I'm guessing the seller may have actually realized what they had and ended the listing,  I just can't imagine somebody getting that kind of deal.
Even more so considering the condition, you'd think loads of people would be trying to buy an A or B that's just beat enough to shoot and enjoy without worry.

I’d pay that much for the rear site alone.  Seems fishy to me.  But if they did a search based on ‘antique sheridan air rifle’, instead of supergrade or model A, I can see why they might list it so low.  About what a beater streak might go for.

You have to jump on good deals with both feet. I would have bought it and flipped it. So you'd at least get a fair chance to bid on it. 
Should I pay more for nice patina? Does taking care of my guns reduce the value? I didn't see patina in the Blue Book

OK... the item sold on Fri Jan 12 @ 10:08 pm. Then the same seller relists the same gun for $1600. How does that work and how is that not viewed as a scam? Or, at least unethical?  And Ebay condones this sort of thing.   
You can't explain this away so don't even try.

Very typical sorry to say. In my experience there are very few honest sellers on ebay. And buyer protection... just TRY and make a claim LOL.

I suppose he could have bought his own gun back for the first price then reposted and sold it again after he found out the value. Ebay would be cool with that because they profited twice on the gun. Still shady in my mind.
