Ron, keep in mind that these are used rifles and may show signs of use but they have all been inspected and brought back to factory specs if needed. Many have received guns that show signs of use but there have also been those who received gun that look as new. I have been able to resist ordering one of these but they have always been on my radar.

I actually could not have done it with out you.A very special thanks to bantam5s and EdinGa for suggesting the CMP purchase. It was all possible because of you guys. RonDid you print and fill out the order form ?I've been wanting one for a few years now but having to print out the form has stopped me because my printer is down.

In My Opinion you made a great choice Ron. Looking forward to seeing your results in the Shooting Match Gate

I wonder if someone could convince Tommy to join up here? He would be a wealth of knowledge. He probably doesn't need the aggravation though.
I have two 853's from the CMP. They were both immaculate upon receipt are both one holers at 10 M and, in fact, have no problem hitting the 25 yard spoons, both while using 7.33 gr. AA pellets.Best wishes for you and your 853.
This would have been my recommendation as well. I shoot my 853 at 25 yards with H&N FTT, and exactly as you said it -- when I miss, I know it was ME. I also use it for the 50 ft matches here, no perfect scores in my hands, but respectable enough. You will not regret the purchase.
