Well, I just did an interesting mod. I kept watching how things lined up on that 400 action as I racked the probe in and out. Realised that when I had the shuttle(?) lined up to grab a pellet out of the mag, I still had a bit of room behind the probe. That is, if opened all the way, things are worn enough that the shuttle goes by a little bit,and that's where I had to use my left thumb to hold it in place. Soooo, I removed the screw and plug behind the probe, and I inserted a 1/4" long piece of green surgical tubing. Much like the "green booger" behind the hammer spring in a 362! All back together, and now this green bumper keeps me from racking it back too far! Shuttle lines up just right for the mag!!
