Selenium is cheap and vital for the brain in other ways where most people are deficient so I'd definitely recommend trying it out. I've had it in a tincture but didn't care for the taste(strong salt water) so I prefer the capsules just one daily.

I spotted a chipmunk today.
It was the first one I have seen since late October when winter set in.
The problem is ....it evidently has made its home... under my front steps.
That problem... will have to be addressed in short order... sometime real soon too.
Best Wishes - Tom

Shot at & missed the first G-hog at the dairy yesterday. 17mph wind w/30 mph gusts made for some trying pellet gunning ! The Stoeger Ranger was shooting to the right about 2" at the 40yrd mark(G-hog mound)w/the JTS 21gr flat nose ammo. I sat up a rock excavated by the critter & ran a couple mags at it , then realized the moderator was loose. After snugging the can up the zero returned to normal. As I'm typing this I noticed a group of HOSPs swarming the Bluebird boxes and the feeders . Well long story short ,,, there are now a couple less out there, as the Kral NP03 answered the call to duty. Squirrel season is over so they get a pass from lead but a "SHOO!" from the window works most of the time when present. I'm hearing more HOSP chirping , back to overwatch. Check in later.

Update for Sunday pesting ; Sent a pic today to Randall . I was sniping starlings at the dairy ( 2 down ) when some crows landed behind me in the small woodlot
beside the large grain bins. I eased around the Toyota & rested my BSA R10 against the corner trying to get a sight line on one of them . Several more landed in
the same tree , giving me some better opportunities . The phone weather app said wind was at steady 17 mph
. Where to hold with strong gusts between ?
I held just off the left side of the targeted crow at head height & squeezed the crisp trigger. I heard the slap of the pellet & a squawk even w/ the wind & the bird
flew over me in a wobbly fashion. I lost sight as it cleared the grain bins but I heard the sound of something hitting the shed's metal roof on the far side. I
walked around the building to find the crow just off the corner on the ground . It was on it's last legs so I gave it a finisher. The 17.6 Norma went through the
chest ,exiting the back. I think a Hades would have put it down quicker , I may re-zero for them later. Oh , and I saw another G-hog also at the same shed ,as I
drove in this morning. Hopefully Randall can post the pic at his convenience .

Pesting is actually how I got into airguns. I had 6 squirrels living in my attic that I took care of when they exited my gable vent and crawled down to the feeder I set up. Had squirrel for lunch quite a few times that first week. Been plenty of squirrels and raccoons taken care of since then!

Spotted my first Chipmunk of the year, right about mid day, Nick and I did a Safari after work but only saw a couple squirrels, and 10 Whitetail. So we went and shot HOSP by the barn for a spell, was slim pickings late day also.

Score #2 for the Cat.
When I took the dog out this morning to do his business there was a dead Cotton Tail rabbit in the garage.
It was in about the same condition as the last one that the cat had gotten, with the throat ripped open and partially eaten.
So far this winter.
9 for me
2 for the Cat.
0 for the Dog

With the snow finally melted away, the squirrels have been digging up my lawn, in search of their acorns.
One made the mistake of thinking it was far enough away from me to safely eat up on a small tree, about 20yd out. It was looking straight at me, while it was working through an acorn, as I placed the Notos cross hair right on its face.
I could hear from that distinct thump that the CPHP had connected.
The nutter fell onto the ground and tried scrambling up another nearby tree, but then it fell back to the ground and started on the death dance.

That will teach em , for a bit
I may as well report Nick did shoot a coon out back by his new chicken coop. He thought he missed in the dark, but a closer look in the daylight confirmed DRT. My Vectis .25 was the weapon of choice.

Tis the season
Nick and I had a successful safari. Yes his HPA cChaser has a brass barrel shroud.
, and my Pinty Carbine Rifle preformed flawlessly, demonstrated by a headshot on the headless HOSP LOL.

LOL I had a chaser pistol that I had no plans for, I gave it to Nick and this is what it is now, 25 FPE shoots my cast slugs and H&N, along with some heavier pellets in the 16+ gr weight.
