I like Magnum Air Power's hardened stainless sears.Have them on 3 guns.
I even use them on my Blue Fork trigger assemblies; I have 2:
I believe you gotta call the parts department still, that's what I do. Give customer service the part numbers and pay over the phone. You will pay 4x the price from other vendors and I doubt you'll even find the safety spring. That's the spring you need. Itll be fine for shooting til they come in, but it wouldn't hurt to get new ones. As for the cover screws, I've never had them be loose. You could file the ends of them down, the flat end that goes into the hole. Just don't hit the threads. That will shorten them a bit and make them seat deeper. If they have side to side play, a little drop of glue in the holes or thread tape. Not really much room with all that small plastic stuff to shim anything. You could order an Mrod trigger and challenger trigger guard and really upgrade that trigger lol. Need 2 brass washers between the housing and tube at the mounting holes to shim it out to the correct depth. .030" thickness and size 8 hole should do it... im trying to make you spend some money now lol
Yeah, thats why I was saying a drop of Elmer's or somehow strength. I forgot about the tooth pick trick!
Is something hanging up in the hammer/ hammer spring area
Maybe your hammer spring has been too tight from the beginning causing all your issues.
