I'd go down to .356 if I were you. With the higher pressures in firearms it is common to be 0.001 larger than the grooves, but we don't have those kinds of pressures. If you had a .356 you might also try polishing it out to .3565, but that's as far as I would recommend. So essentially, any mold made for 9mm and most for 38 and 357 should be an ideal place to start, just need to make sure they aren't too long to fit the magazine.

Has anyone tried just a ronin on a .45 or .50? Does it quit it down any? Might buy one also
 thinking of buying just the ronin extendeder and making my own baffles. 185 vs $60

I don't think a Ronin will do much for you.

Appreciate the advice. I was afraid somebody would say that. I already ordered the ronin extendeder though so I'ma gonna atleast try to DYI something. It should screw right on. Buuut Atleast I will already have the extender when i do order the emperor.

If you try a bunch of stuff in the extender and it doesn’t work out, try three chambers of three different sizes, the largest one at the end, the smallest one in the middle.  Worked for me….

.356 was too small in my Challenger 357,  However if you're talking about a HP Max that might be different

that is what I measured on my .357 max. 

Looks like breech o ring is either 12mm x2mm or 0.5” x 1/16”.  What I have isn’t quite doing it.  12.6x2mm too large and 12 x 1.5 fits but the seal is poor.  So I have the two in-between sizes (all I could find) on the way.

Where are you getting o-rings from? I usually order from https://www.oringsandmore.com/ and they do have *some* in between sizes and weird stuff. I have the same problem with my Eagle Claw as AV/Seneca/Sam Yang doesn't want to come off the list of o-rings and erroneously (on purpose?) confirmed o-ring sizes to me that ended up not fitting right. I lost all my accuracy after resealing and had to tear down the rifle, again, and try some of the odd sized rings I ordered, which actually ended up fitting.

I used this link: https://www.allorings.com/O-Ring-AS568-Standard-Size-Chart and my outside mic to guesstimate what I needed and ended up getting three sizes for each ring I was trying to replace. None of the SAE or "standard" metric rings ended up working and I had to use odd sized stuff like a 1.6mm CS instead of 1.5 mm, 2 mm, or 0.070" cs.

None of the assorted sets seem to have the sizes I'm after, but that might not be the case for Crosman or other American made/designed guns.

I've got an assortment of metric o rings that I bought from the o ring store several years ago that's really come in handy for a lot of different airgun stuff.

Nope, I bought two different types of rubber in their kits, and they are very easy to cut. Works in a pinch but not great quality.

One of my Xisico Sentry's (the newest one in my signature) kept destroying the fill port o rings, after going through three
of them in relatively short time I called Mike Melick@flyingdragonairguns to ask for the dimensions I need to get some of
those o rings and he explained the size that came with them from China was wrong, After finding out what
size I needed I haven't had to replace one since.

I have noticed that sometimes the included o-rings aren't the best or seal that great. I have gone up or down by .1mm in CS or diameter and gotten good results. It's only a few dollars to order a variety of rings, but I now have a ton that don't really fit anything I have.

Those green harbor freight o-rings seem to b alot tougher. The black ones are weak. I wish they would include o ring sizes in the Manuel along side the diagram.

May I ask for the dimensions, please? I will be tearing my 705 down next week to see if I can find the leak I have by the poppet stem.

I went to harbor freight yesterday and got the black o rings and they are not very tough at all.  I’m glad you mentioned that because I was wondering what it was doing wrong.


Also not one of them actually fits. I have two mixed O-ring sets that I purchased, none fit, so now I’ve narrowed it down to some individual rings that are on their way.
