How much fitting is required for a lothar Walther barrel to be fitted to a fortitude. You guys keep saying how nice these fortitudes are and it is making waiting on one to be available a lot worse lol
I wouldn't consider a LW barrel until you get it and shoot it, you may be pleasantly surprised at the results from the factory barrel. Mine gets 1/2" consistently at 40 yards with the occasional much less. But, if you do want one, I believe it is plug and play. No modifications necessary.
At 50 yards, with NSA slugs, I can get sub-dime sized groupings off a full mag running at 2500psi. Quarter sized at 100 yards. For a box-stock $300 air rifle, what more can I ask for? This is why I have absolutely no intention of messing with this rifle. It works perfectly and was a laser right out of the box. I really want to get another one just to take apart and have fun with it. Not going to do it with my one that is working perfectly. But I have other projects that I'm currently working on.
After I am done with it, it will no longer look like a cheap gun

Mr. John, his is from a MROD Field Target with a LW barrel.
BP1764S – .177 caliber Pellet Air RifleBP1764W– .177 caliber Pellet Air RifleBP2264S – .22 caliber Pellet Air RifleBP2264W – .22 caliber Pellet Air RifleI have been browsing the Crosman site, but the MROD FT models seem to indicate this: "Parts not available through Crosman."The ones above with the W designation should be the LW models.1763-017, .177 barrel, 20"2264-001, .22 barrel, 20"For both barrels, there is no indication of them being LW though. These ones are with a LW barrel:https://www.pyramydair.com/product/benjamin-marauder-field-and-target-air-rifle?m=4316 .22 caliberhttps://www.pyramydair.com/product/benjamin-marauder-field-and-target-air-rifle?m=4316 .177 caliberCompare the 2 PA links to the above models---they connive.
I think the fortitude will be perfect for me to be light enough to carry and hunt with. I have seen some really good accuracy reports with some of them. Now if I can just find one in stock.
