Got the “QB Fever” at one point.
Like simple working guns, so even the ones that got modded were kept simple. Thought about making them pretty….but basically they’re going to be QB’s at heart no matter how much lipstick you slap on one.
They were almost like Lego guns...parts swap, interchange, so you end up trying various combinations of uppers and lowers. So at one time or another, all of them got tried with 12gr., bulk fill, co2 tanker, regulated HPA, and 3K PCP.
Right now, do keep two pretty basic/nearly stock 12gr. running QB’s...miss match of parts, but all of them are in the 2009-2012 time frame. Pretty much came full circle, bring them back to where they started.

Get out, set up and charge the the gun. I do three very first shots to get things moving, first shot at orange at 26 yards and the CPUM goes right on through. There was no wind and the pellet went exactly where I aimed.
Since yesterday after I left this spot the methamphetamine desert scum ripped open a doos that were closed and ate the oranges that I left for the real wild animals (this desert in the Antelope Valley area is a known MAJOR drug haven). Anyway ----------
I shoot a few more shots and see that I'm shooting a smidgen low at the 32+ yard mark and make a minor adjustment. It is now 8:30 and a Collard Dove (classified as an invasive species and legal for airgun take) lands on the old barn roof in that 32-35 yard mark ---- the CPUM flies true, one minute later another CD lands and has the same fate. These were my 17th and 18th shots --- A few minutes later a HOSP lands 29 long paces out on a sage bush ---- now he and the two Collard Doves are tweeting in bird heaven. These are just the size targets that I want this gun for, this gun IMHO is great for what I want and it did its job. The sun is out it feels warmer but temp is still around the 42° area, where I'm at its 68°. I have about 3 more full power shots, until I empty the gun. With using one Co2, I limit my shots to 22-24 and then empty. My average velocity I'm finding is 575-582 fps with CPUM's !
I have lots and lots of airguns, but the QB Series of guns for money spent are very, very hard to beat for there intended purpose ---- and HPA modifications that can turn the QB series into another animal.
As I stated before I'm loving this stock more and more. It works great for my rough and tumble use, this is a pretty tough user Co2 airgun, again I'm very happy with it. I'm finding the 3-9scope very useful I might add !
A COUPLE SIDE BARS: -------------------------------------------------------
Some folks don't like the cock on closing feature, and on my HPA I changed that, but for my use with this gun I'm leaving it. I open the bolt and drop a pellet in, when ready to shoot I close. If I close and don't shoot, I open the bolt and the gun is unlocked. The pellet is in deep in the breech, so I pull the trigger before/as I push the bolt closed, gun is not cooked, but because it is closed I know there is a pellet in the bore. When ready to shoot, I just re-cock the gun. A GREAT SYSTEM FOR MY INTENDED USE !
One another note (I'm on a roll) ----- the 177 cal is pretty darn good for being flatter shooting and the smaller diameter zips through feathers. No, it does not have the energy, but that heavy 177 pellet does penetrate :-)
So much for my musings for today, till next time :-)
