I could hardly wait to get on here and post my most recent experiance!
#friday night.. time to get my "game on"
There at the liqueur store was a lovely Blonde with an assortment of Bottles of bourbons to "Taste sample" FOR FREE!
Come to find out she is the "Brand Manager"
In all honesty, I abused her.. "What is that?... And That?"... but what about this?   repeat . 
It is a new local distillery and I must say, ALL the samples were quite yummy.
Kelly warned me, "although you may be tempted, don't pour 'Breakfast of Degenerates' on you pancakes... it makes them soggy"

Sounds like you got more abused than she did, you lush!   Whiskey on pancakes, I don't know about that one. I could see some liqueur but whiskey.

Breakfast of Degenerates sounds more like Breakfast of Gastronomic Destruction. I think Fire Ball would be more appropriate for that meal or at least with Cinnamon buns.  I'll just stick to Irish Cream with coffee in the morning after a bad hair night.

Been drying out for a few weeks.  Liquor cures stress pretty well... until the next day and then its worse.
But its Friday night and not feeling stressed, finally at the end of a week that I was not sure wouldn't break me.


Completely satisfied that I did not feel that I needed a drink, I just opened a fresh bottle of Paddy Irish whiskey.
Yum.

    My wife and I traveled a bit of The Kentucky Bourbon Trail this past week as we live close by.  I decided to hit some of the smaller distilleries instead of the big names.  Here is what we bought on the trip.  I liked everything I sampled at Wilderness Trail, and it was my favorite.  The Rye was great also as a couple of friends drained a good portion of it yesterday.  At 119.4 proof the Restoration Rye is pretty strong stuff. The others are around 100-110 proof.  I'm saving the two bourbons on the ends of this picture for the Kentucky Derby this weekend.
