No she doesn't! I changed my mind when I went out to get the saw though. The sun was shining and it was warm enough to work on my 4'x8' saw horse and plywood table. It looked like the weather would be good for long enough and it was!

Good Morning! I woke and got up at 5:45 this morning.

 I coughed up a lung ( a lot of phlegm) first thing. At least it is breaking loose and coming up now.

 Now I have my coffee and and am thinking today I will install new up-down seat adjuster gears in my Dodge Ram Pickup. When I got it one was broken and since the other one has broken too. The seat is in a great position for me so it hasn't been urgent but, now I have gotten around to getting the brass gears to replace the broken plastic gears and want to get it fixed.

The weather here today is supposed to get up to 73°F it is currently 37°F but should warm up enough by 9:00 to get started on by then. One downside to the weather today is that we are to have a lot of clouds today.

I have to drive up to Williams and retrieve the step stool from the Safeway swmbo left there.😡 She needed it to be able to reach her Icelandic water on the top shelf. She came out of the store and it started to snow very hard and all she could think about is getting back down the pass to home so she ended up leaving it on the bottom part of the cart. Anytime there's snow it seems someone dies in that pass.

Mornin y’all.  It’s a lovely April day here in nawth Flarda.

The memsahib is out overseeing the hired help.  She is installing new irrigation pipe out to the garden.  There is a large fig tree in a forty gallon pot that is awaiting replanting.  The drip feed irrigation system needs extending.  It’s time to fertilize again.  I intend to hang around the man cave/studio/BB gun shed and be available if she needs help.  I’m still in a sling and on light duty for a few more weeks.  Pat, the young man who is helping us,  is a wonder.  He wants $20 an hour to work.  We pay him $25 because he’s worth it.  It’s encouraging to find people who still have a solid work ethic in this day and age.

Good it worked out for you Sam. I cut a lot of a trail by my home with the chain saw as it was getting where I couldn't see down it. Now it looks way more pretty.

  I think I am going to bring my chainsaw in and work on it on the kitchen table, since my wife is gone to her stitching group today. There is no fuel or oil in it and I pressure washed it a couple of days ago so I shouldn't make much of a mess to have to clean up and it seems to be the best place to work on it. 

  I am sure my wife would not approve but she won't find a mess when she gets home later on. 

 It should work out ok.    Or I'll be forgiven. The weather is just better indoors right now.

I am getting really good retirement practice and enjoy it way too much.

It’s mud season here. May make it to the 50’s so I am expecting another 120 foot day…wiping dog feet that is.

I plan to put final touches on the Mpup and Talon P for chipper safari (Turkey hunting) after Easter. One final shot string through the Mpup and then bump the Talon back up to the 38fpe range. I have only shot them at 10m so I am anxious to stretch them out.

You can run a pumper one handed if you lay the gun upside down across your lap.    So yesterday I ran chronograph and accuracy tests with some pumpers. Today I plan to tear down the C2200 and see if I can figure out why it’s down on power.

Geoff is supposed to come by and we’ll probably take the pontoon out for a spring wildflower viewing expedition.  No contractors or handymen at the house today so we are taking a break from the renovations.

  I only got 3Hrs 23 Min of sleep last night, I am tired of this cough and tired because of it too.

 There are a couple of people that got here at 7:00 AM for a work day. They are working on cutting back a fence line tree that is out of control. It planted itself in the wettest location on the property so it grows like crazy I cut it back to a stump about 5 years ago and it came back with a vengeance. I would like to see that Peruvian Pepper tree gone but, there is another tree about 2' from it on the neighbors side of the fence witch makes selectively killing it harder. We have several of these Peruvian Pepper trees and didn't plant any of them it is a very robust tree that just thrives even without added water. 

 Anyway I don't feel up to helping them work on it but, I did start the chainsaw and park my '69 GMC nearby for hauling the branches away.

Girdle the tree with a machete and spray Roundup in the slash.  It will take several treatments  but it will kill the root.  My preference is for an herbicide called Garlon 4 but I don’t think it is available for residential applications.  Another option is to acquire some creosote bush and plant it near the fence.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! We sure did get a lot of rain the past 2 days, and then some. I took Ayrabella roller skating yesterday and wore myself out. I slept in until 0600, Andi made into our own bed last night- so I’m letting her sleep in. The temperature sure has dropped, we’re not planning on anything today. Just rest… I have to work 3 days this week, but Thursday I’m having the ablation done on my neck. I am very much so looking to be on the other side of that.

 Yesterday I planned on going to Daughter #1's and "Connecting their new Starlink" because the S.I.L. isn't tech savey at all.
Surprise! the proper term for "Connecting" should have been "Installing".
 6 hours later they got 5 bar signal and cosmetically appealing.

Today was to be R&R and do some minor tasks here at home, Laundry, dusting, assemble Hoosier Momma's new treadmill.
BUT... She got a call early this morning, someone at the Lodge over-served his Girl and she vomited "Red" all over the carpet.
So now I am loading our Bissel Carpet Shampoo'er into the truck to head there and clean up someone else's mess.
   I am not an employee... just the "Gimp" Bar Managers Husband!!!

Dan this product will work faster and kill every thing to the roots and won't harm other trees. You don't need to girdle just hack the trunk a few times and squirt the hacks with it. Just mix in a spray bottle and wear gloves for safety. I use it on the invasives that are on my property. More environmently friendly than Glyphosate(round up).
