Morning..
I was sitting at the shooting window in the shop with the Avenger this morning and a feeling came over me... next thing I knew I was sitting in a puddle of self pitty missing my boy Rambo. I looked up and there was a series of his pictures scrolling on the shop PC screen saver. I spent the next few minutes having a conversation with him.

Rambo was kind of a character here on the forum Bill.  I think we all miss him.

I had to put Flytrap down after 16 years.  She and I had a somewhat adversarial relationship over the years but I do miss her.

I miss my Boston, Dash, and my Mountain Feist, Polly, but Belle is shaping up to be another really great dog.  I never took Flytrap anywhere but hunting.  Belle goes everywhere with me.

I'm prone to giving my dogs long names so this one is Isabella Dorothea Fiona Gloriana DeLacosa Maria Theresa et Retief Du Lille.

I'll be moving snow with my new snowblower.   Very exciting    not.     Still snowing out there so I'll put off the work as long as I can.

She made it up stairs.  (Rut Row Raggy)
I thought I was doing well but apparently I have a lot of "Housekeeping" to do today.
At least the dishes were done and the counter is clean.
The kitchen floors are now swept and mopped... washed down the stairs with Murphy's Oil Soap...
Landing where the littler box is has been swept and mopped...
Next comes the laundry room.

Maiden voyage with the new snowblower.   It's OK but the old one was a much ruggeder machine, much heavier also.   I'm old and weak so the lighter weight on the new one is a small plus.  The new made in China motor doesn't have the grunt of the old Tecumsah engine.  Low speed on the new machine isn't going to be low enough for deep snow but I might be able to adjust the friction drive a little.   Todays snow was about 6 inches compacted down with sleet so it was pretty dense.  The new blower was working pretty hard to move it.   One big plus on the new blower, the auger and impellor are in perfect, new, slippery condition and it throws the snow a mile.   We'll see how it throws after a few years of ingesting gravel, rocks and buried tree branches.   I already miss my old machine.  I'll rest a while and then go back out and clean up all the little details around cars, steps, walkways, patios and most importantly-the bird feeders.   That'll be a lot of shovel work.  Old guy needs more exercise anyways.

Had to take my Prednisone this morning. My C doctor started me on it to try and calm my immune system down. It's been attacking my liver giving bad blood test results. A couple of side affects I'm not to happy with is it makes me very hungry and I have problems falling asleep at night. Went to bed at 9pm as usual but didn't get to sleep until after midnight. Then 7 am I wake up and there's no going back to sleep. Luckily it's only for about 2 months. One thing I absolutely love is it's stopped the pain in my neck and no, I'm not talking about my wife. My sinuses have also cleared up.😁 I did sleep the whole night with no pee breaks.🥰

Just checked my sleep for last night as recorded by my Fitbit. I got way more deep sleep than I've had since I was young.

Good afternoon! I was up at 3:30, did my normal Sunday things first. After the morning Church service we went to Taco Shop to eat and then took the visiting friend to catch a shuttle to Las Vegas where she will catch a Greyhound Bus back to New Mexico.

 We have our afternoon service at 5:00 PM, that is all I really have planned for today.

 The weather here today is GREAT! It is currently 74.3°F clear and beautiful.

Been up about an hour. Fed Boss and put coffee on. It's 33 outside right now and only expected to get to the mid 50s. I'll head to the casting shack and fire up the pot and mold oven then come back in to get my shower and another to go cup of coffee. By then the casting shack should be up to casting temps and warm the shack up. I'll pour and cull a few batches of 100 .25 pellets while it's warming up outside then get after a few things that need done outside.
One of those things is to get the eXmark loaded on the trailer to deliver to Mike. It may still be too wet to make that happen... we'll see. I mean yes, we live in the woods but there is no sense playing in the mud and digging ruts in the ground.
Aside from that I may shoot some airguns.

Mornin y’all.  Winter snuck back in last night.  Temps in the low forties but clear.  I’m off work today.  The pontoon boat is gassed up and sitting at the dock.  I hope to run up river into the Morrison Hammock Wilderness area today. I really need a partner if I’m going to hunt in there.  I’ll take Belle and hopefully we’ll see some squirrels in an area that hasn’t been hunted over.

Good morning, little nippy here, 44° right now. Get the water pump and fan belt back on the van, then get everything else filled and put back on to move the van where I can yank the front back into place. Do some gardening in the back, get some planters prepped.

Good morning! I initially woke at 3:25 AM but managed to fall back asleep and woke again at 5:25 AM not bad!

 Mondays are my designated off/rest days, so today I'll be leisurely engaged in various small activities. Due to the recent delays with USPS, the vintage tools I ordered to complete my SK Tools sets I inherited, which were expected in the past few days, have accumulated. And with today being Presidents Day, there is no mail, so I anticipate receiving most of them tomorrow.

 Our weather is forecast to be mostly sunny with a High 72°F and winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. It is currently 42°F and should be 70°F by noon.
