Whitting mostly, redfish, black drum, and butterfish(silver perch-Bairdiella chrysura). Haven't caught any silver trout yet. The black drum are undersized, no keepers, the red fish made the slot, 8 whitting, and 28 butterfish. Just got done cleaning that mess.

I figured you’d get some whiting.  I thought the specs might be coming inshore.  It ain’t cold enough yet.  I got a mess of roe mullet two weeks ago when some friends went cast netting. It’s about time for me to drop some crab pots too.

Morning..
Up at 4:30 made coffee, surfed and paid the online bills.
Today is bulk grocery shopping day. Betty Lou said she wants to get an early start and get it done so we'll probably have breakfast in Troy someplace, probably Jack's.
When we get back Betty Lou will be busy in the kitchen putting stuff away and I'll head to the shop and get cleaned up after several days of the QB projects.
No real plans after that but I'm sure it will involve airguns and food.

Kris congrats on the good grub. I don't care for fishing but catching ain't that bad!

Aggravating ordeal trashing the old router and modem to replace them with new ones and a usb wifi adapter but got it all done and the pc surfs around 100mbps now instead of the slow 5mbps that I'm used to so the frustration was worth it. A 2gb download normally takes a long time but now only takes around 4 minutes. I can get used to that.

We have Bible Study tonight, no other real plans yet.

 I need to get a new battery for my '69 GMC. They sure don't make them like they used to! I think it would have lasted a little longer if I drove it more, it sits too much, especially in the heat of our summers. (it doesn't have AC)
 I am not sure if I am going to do that today or not, maybe. I am going to be needing that truck soon so, I need to get the dead battery replaced, so maybe today?
 
 Maybe a little yardwork? It is supposed to get up to 82°F with 11% humidity here today.

Good morning, balmy 55° and foggy. Waiting on UPS to delivery of a lawnmower motor. Tired fixing these small engines, most of the time it is a discontinued plastic part and not worth taking it out of another motor. I need the string mower mower now to finish knocking stuff back. A weedeater would lose this battle real quick. Work on fishing stuff and the boat since it is getting to be that time when fishing is really good and less stupidity on the water.

Thanks Gil, fish is one of my lean meats on the list. I will eventually have enough to run the smoker for a few days.

Back from grocery shopping and all packed in the house. We made that run from start to finish in just under 2 hours. It's a 44 mile round trip. We like going early because there is hardly anyone there and we get through the check out quickly. Betty Lou knows the layout of the store very well and makes her list accordingly. That saves alot of time.
We didn't stop for breakfast but we grabbed a donut and drink at the bakery.
Later we'll run to the local grocer to pick up the things we prefer to get there.

Boss always greets us at the door with her chew rope in her mouth doing her best Tina Fey sasquatch impersonation.

Exactly what I do with the list and I arrive early on stockup day so all items are on shelf and I always get a front parking spot close to the doors. I'm like Matt and others here I don't enjoy crowds. I get there and back home with no crowds of traffic on the roads either.

Any Friday seems to be the worst as that is when weekly and biweekly paychecks, retirement, social security, and welfare checks go out and that intern brings out people in droves. I beleave that is based on when one was born with in the month. I shan't lament on my personal views on such activities as this is just something Jeff told me and then I took note myself as I rarely grocery shop on a friday after I get paid.

Not the best plan for SSI recipients because we get paid according the the first letter of our last name.. in my case, direct deposit on the 3rd Wed of the month at midnight.

 Mine is deposited on the 2nd Wednesday each month. Years ago retired folks all got paid on the 3rd of each month and then they spread it out through the month and welfare recipients got paid on the 1st. (or the other way around?) Spreading the payments through the month sure made it easier on the Grocery Stores having business spread out instead of the first week being totally hammered and then dead at the end of the month.

 I am glad the Grocery Chain I worked for never went to 24hrs when I worked in produce, I loved being there with no customers, with my Boom Box loud enough to hear all over the produce department. Also I didn't have to wear my button up shirt and tie while we were closed.

 We closed at 11:00 PM and opened at 6:00 AM

I did get a lot of stuff put up at HD the 1 hour after it closed but you never know who might be having a minor issue that being open would save them hundreds from a late night call. I dont work there any more but I used to close the store then open it the very next day so that sucked.

Good morning, sitting here pondering which way to go in repairs and disaster management. The call of the fishing rod beckons me to drop everything and go for it. Did manage to get the new mower engine on the string mower. The holes lined and the bolts dropped in. Actually got a lot fixed yesterday so it was a good day. Waiting on a few things for the van to finish putting it back together. Just take the day as it comes.
