Clear and cold this morning.
It is -15 F outside and the wind chill is around - 26 F.
The high today is forecasted to be 4 F.
Thankfully it is not as windy as yesterday.

 I forgot to turn the heater on last night before I went to bed so, it was kind of cool (65°F) in the house this morning. Forgetting to turn on the heat at night is a small price to pay for our warm afternoons. It would have been warmer in the house if I had closed the front door and windows a little earlier yesterday afternoon. I enjoyed the fresh air a little longer than I should have if I wanted to retain the warmth of the day in the house. 
I know compared to your cold outdoor temps 65°F is pretty warm. It got down to 28°F at the coldest spot (about 6 miles away) in Hemet overnight. Todays High is forecast to be 64°F here.

Up at 4am, made a K-cup of coffee and took my shower. Surfed a bit then headed out to the shop to get the fire going.
It was 31f when I got up and only going to be in the mid 50's but no rain or wind. Should warm up over the next few days and no rain on the radar.
I'll be working on a couple new to me C02 guns and I can get the shop warm enough to shoot them out the shooting window. Last time I had it lit when it was cold I let it burn too long and it got to around 82 in the shop. A little too warm for my liking. I have a large cast iron kettle I fill with water and keep on top of the stove. Once that begins to steam it really warms things up with a small fan aimed up in the rafters circulating the air.

Looks like I'm going to be able to go get my water trailer today. They originally told me Saturday but called me this morning and said they're working on it. They're replacing all of the springs,rockers shackles and wet bolts. $$$$ but hopefully I won't have any problems with the trailer for a few years.🙏

Good morning, the hunt for the front end is over. Not to worried about the color on it. At least a 10 hour road trip to pick it up and yes it will be a long day but a nice change of scenery for a minute. My local parts place has the rest of the vehicle in stock. Still waiting on some other things to get ironed out which I knew was going to take some time.

Welcome to Friday 13th.. if you believe in that kind of stuff. I personally to put much stock in it.
I was up at around 1am for an hour or so but went back to bed until 5am. Drank a hazelnut cappuccino, watched some streaming RigTV and surfed the web. It started out at 31f and is supposed to get to 60f with sunny skies.
Betty Lou is up now and made a pot of coffee. I'm going to refill my mug with that and head out to the shop to get the fire started.
I have a couple ideas of things I want to do today and I heard Betty Lou mention a local store run.

Monday the thirteenth sounds a lot more ominous to me.

The other boat captains called in sick today so I had to Shanghai a couple of unsuspecting rangers.  Call me "Martin Churchill."

It is a gorgeous day out there.  Beaucoup critters!  I've still got to drive four tours but it should be fun on a day like today.

I've got to change out 1 of the tires on the water trailer with the spare. There's a small chunk out of the tread but the cord isn't showing. I wouldn't have changed it but of course the wife is worried about it so when SWMBO says it needs to be done IT GETs DONE!!😂🤣😂🤣

Coffee, prime, paint and hopefully get some plywood on the floor.  Then off to work for another 32 hour shift.  I may swing the hospital and say hi to Pops but I’m very limited on time today.  Gotta go

Great Morning! My wife is back here safely.

 I sure love how easy it is for us to use the Palm Springs Airport and that it is just 57 miles away and in light traffic. 
 LAX would have saved us about $100 on the ticket and have been a direct flight instead of having a layover and plane change at Dallas TX but, would have add about 3 hours with heavy traffic or we would have had to get a LATE arriving flight to have lighter traffic.

 We got back to Hemet ahead of the people that commute to work too. So it was a quick drive. We stopped at Blaze Pizza on our way home.

 When we got home Hank our 12 year old Great Dane got the zoomies when he saw my wife was back home. He acted SO young and happy!

Good morning, parts run successful. Managed to obtain the entire front end minus the head lights. I have those on order. Still have to find some smalls but that won't take long. The start the process of sticking it all back on the right way. Taking a break from it for a few days. Need to address some other things around the house.

Mornin y’all.  I slept fitfully and now I’m feeling both shoulders.  I have no intention of taking any major drugs though.  I don’t want to feel groggy all day.  Work on the floating dock is the plan.  I hope to get away to the woods for a couple of hours.  We’ll see what transpires.

The temps warmed up to 18 F this morning.
I took some early morning shots with the Gamo Magnum GR.
We are getting snow today, so later on I'll be blowing snow.

Dogs are so happy with reunions. I hope the two of my 200lb+ dogs don't tackle me to the ground when I reunite with them up North.

Plans for today will most likely mess around with the cosmetics of "Green Bean" the AR2078 basket case gun. Might even look into swapping it to the side lever breech.

Good morning, feed zoo, a little house cleaning, and then make my way to the cape to fish some. It was very pleasant being out there despite the wind blowing. Getting live bait was a little tough but I managed to find what I was looking for and it was fish on. Ghost shrimp was the weapon of choice. They are worth slurping out of the sand, target fish was whitting, black drum, and silver trout.
