Mornin y’all.  Didn’t do much sleeping last night.  This a.m. I’m cranky, stiff, and in a lot of pain.  As soon as I get my feces together I’m headed for the woods with (air) gun and dog.

I can sit around the shack and hurt or I can go out in the woods and kill something.  That’s a no brainer.

Plans for today will most likely mess around with the cosmetics of "Green Bean" the AR2078 basket case gun. Might even look into swapping it to the side lever breech.

Update:  Still hurts just not as cranky now.  I spent a couple of very relaxing hours hunting in the Morrison Hammock Wilderness Area.  Belle and I wandered through a blizzard of multi- colored leaves endlessly cascading down.  No small animals were molested in the course of this pleasant morning.

The tide is low enough now to try and dig some new footers for the gangplank to the floating dock.  Here we go!

I woke at 3:15 and got up a couple of minutes later before my alarm. 

 We had Sunday School, and then the morning service. Both were longer than usual, there were just a few of us there this morning but it seemed that everyone was talkative and no one was in a hurry or paying attention to the time. We had extra singing too. So we started Sunday School at 8:30 AM and dismissed the morning service at 11:45 

 I am not in the least bit sleepy because I got 6 hours of sleep last night. I will just relax all afternoon after I eat lunch. 

 It is Clear and Sunny and 63°F, supposed to get to 67°F today. There is a sleight breeze, it feels really nice out in the Sun.

Went over to a friend's and picked up a box that the UPS dropped off there. UPS refuses to deliver to us so we have to have things sent either to our daughter or our friend. Went by the water company and filled up the little 125 gallon tank I had in the back of the truck. What a PITA to get the portable water pump running!🤬🤬🤬 It hasn't been ran in almost a year so I'm thinking it's gummed up but it's always been a pita to start.🤔

I have another AR2078 coming today from Rocker1. If that ones is as good as I think it will be then I'm going to see how the side lever works on Green Bean. Betty Lou has already laid claims to the Bean. 

By the way, shooting those are the plans for today.. we setup our Army man, paintball, flippers, cans on screws and paper 25 yd plinking game range off the front porch yesterday. I successfully beat Betty Lou 2 out of 3 games with our matching .177 362 choppers. That was a rare outcome.

Try Mechanic in a bottle, has worked wonders on the gummed up carbs I had to deal with at work.

Got some Apollo .25 cal slugs I'm hoping to test out today in the Hatsan BT65 and Vectis. High hopes for the BT65. Fingers crossed...

I called in to work today.  Told them I was taking the day off because I was unsafe at any speed.  Right on the bottle it says do not operate machinery under the influence of this drug.  Both shoulders are killing me and I'm not sleeping so I bit the bullet and took two Darvocet.  My 85 year old mother who is an unstoppable force of nature does not understand how I could possibly be too disabled to dig some footers for dock pilings, build some stairs, and install a new gangplank since I only called in sick to work.  She has come over twice this morning and her impatience with me is starting to show.   Mom has OCD and other people's suffering is inconsequential when she is obsessed with a project.

Capt I called off today too. This whole last week wore me slap out. Disney on ice was a huge mental drain with all the people around. I don't like large crowds so I ended up picking the little crotch goblin up and putting him on my shoulders and making the large crotch goblin walk faster than she wanted till we cleared the masses.

So today is a relax and chill. Hope you feel better capt

Gone Fishing, done with dealing with stupidity, the yard, and anything else that has torqued my you know what in the last few weeks.

Whut ah did today.

I cut two eight foot 6x6 down to seven feet then dug two 3’ deep holes in the river bottom (the tide is unusually low today) placed a 1’ square cement paver at the bottom of each and set two pilings for the stairs.  Eventually the stairs will end at the pilings and a hinged gangplank will fill the remaining distance to the floating dock.

Tired now.

We were tired yesterday and went to bed an hour or so earlier than usual. Unfortunately that translates into getting up earlier too. At 3:30 I was done sleeping, got up and put on some coffee and hit the shower. Been streaming Motor Trend and surfing since.
So far the only plan I have for today is to continue tinkering with the AR2078a that arrived yesterday.

Killer day on the cape yesterday, clean a lot of fish and clean up the fishing stuff. Get the smoker cleaned and ready to cook in. The weather will be cool enough to use it. Looking forward to some smoked fish to put in my salads and soups.
