Morning... kinda.
I got up at 4:30 and pressed play on the coffee maker.. Betty Lou always cleans and sets up the pot the night before. After I heard the gurgling that indicates the coffee is ready, I went in to get a cup. What I found was a mess all over the counter.
I am grateful because at least it wasn't dog poop on the bedroom floor. 
So when Betty Lou got up we showered and headed to Troy to buy a new coffee maker.  She wanted one that brews a regular 12 cup pot, brews single servings hot or cold and will also brew those Kurig cups. Then she wanted an assortment of Kurig flavors, a new pair of oven mits, a half gallon of French Vanilla coffee creamer and an orange for something she is cooking/baking... who knows. Anyways, a new coffee pot turned into a 44 mile round trip and $120.
On the brighter side...
Betty Lou said that Boss came in the bedroom at around 11:30 last night and barked until she got up to let her out. Then she stayed out there walking then fenceline and barking for 30 minutes.
Strange... I didn't hear any of that.

Haven't tried that yet... I suppose I should. I drink 1 20oz. cup a day and I usually have that soon after I get up.

Up 0400, made the early commute to beat traffic, sitting in the parking lot at work listening to a podcast waiting for starting time.  Drinking instant coffee while waiting…

Mornin y'all!  I'm waiting to do a tele-medicine conference (A term that did not exist 20 years ago) at 09:45 this a.m.  After that it's off to work to drive boats.  Winter time is supposed to be our slow season but we are so short handed that there is no let up.  Even though we have dropped from 12 tours a day to just 7 I'm still having to drive four tours each shift.  There's no-one else to do it.  I'm going to miss the first two boats today and I had to move heaven and earth to get the time off.  It's nice to feel indispensable some days.  Tomorrow hopefully someone else will be indispensable.

GOOD Morning! WOW, I slept 6h 32min with light and restful being exactly evenly split 3h 16min each.    The last 3 nights I slept very little so I feel really well rested now!

I woke up to a normal morning with no dog poop, Yay! Hank got up with me and he wanted to go outside right away. Usually he stays in bed for a few minutes not ready to get up.

 I need to pick up some leaves today, the weather is going to be pleasant here.         

 I will wait until about 9:00 AM to start though, it is supposed to be 60°F by then.

I was told buy my boss I could not be replaced, I replied "That's not true and I can prove it, if I stick my finger in a glass of water and pull it out it doesn't leave a hole"!

Good morning, a balmy 54° here now. Still fighting with the insurance idiots, long story. I will leave the rest to your imagination. Work on clearing the fire lines and finish putting a chicken pen together. Get the Hercules .45 back up and running, our second phase of hunting starts in another week. Not much else for now.

Been there Kris. I was expecting similar when I called the car dealer today to replace my mother's door panel that wasn't attached right after they hunted electrical gremlins where it broke when I opened the door but they agreed to pay for it without any hassle at all so the part is ordered and life goes on.

Gil, it would have been nice if one agent handled the claim and not play digital tag the whole time. I am dealing with 3 different people in this mess. I even had to drag my policy agent into it to get the ball rolling again. I am hoping that it will be resolved by the end of the week. I have had enough of this mickey mouse, AI, virtual, digital, phone tag game. How hard is it to just make a phone call and get it ironed out in a few minutes.

Ernie, it's called outright laziness in my book. "We don't this procedure(field agents) anymore because of the pandemic" got dragged into it as well. What started the whole fight was a form on their website that authorized them to pick up the vehicle to be carried to their inspections sight. I did not fill that part out or even authorized it to happen, somebody went over me on that, so now I got a tow company blowing up my phone wanting to pick it up. I told 3 different people that vehicle is driveable and they can inspect the vehicle on my property. By this morning I was on the edge of retaining legal help.

Mornin y'all.  I'm in the ranger station again today.  It should be a slow boring mid-week winter's day.

I'll probably doze off at some point.

I slept until 5:25 this morning. Hank didn't move at all until I was dressed had poured my coffee and went to the far end of the house to my man cave/office. He came in just as I was about to sit down so, I had to go let him go outside. Then I took care of the cat, and when I got that done he wanted back in.

 Hank is laying down in his favorite winter spot in front of the electric fireplace heater.

It's 39°F according to the weather page but on our back deck it is 46°F right now. It is supposed to get up to 75°F.   

I love our weather right now.

I put the trash and recycle cans out to the road late yesterday so I don't need to do it this morning. I am expecting my new monitor to be delivered today so, I'll have to stay here with the gates open and keep an eye out for it.

Bible study tonight, other than that I am not planning anything today.

My plan for today is to make a crock of pea soup and throw in a leftover hambone from Thanksgiving.    While that's simmering I've got a couple new guns to clean.

Kris what company is that? Never been through that with Farm Bureau which I switched to after Skate Farm screwed me over when a dingbat ran into my car and SF faulted me for it because of her lying friends saying I caused it despite the obvious road evidence proving they were lying.

Dan I have to keep the gates closed until the expected person shows up or else I'll have 3 solicitors invite themselves in which happened once when I left the gates open for a company doing work on the home.

Ernie I've got guns to clean too thanks for the reminder.

We haven't had any solicitors except asphalt companies a few times. We do have an occasional needy person show up, which is to be expected for a Church property. The main reason for the gates is of course to prevent/reduce the probability of thieves and vandals and we also had a few couples think our parking lot was a good place to park and make-out in the middle of the night. With my sleep habits I was awake to notice them. We have had people come onto the property for water a few times which we would not deny except, that idiots left the water running on two occasions. We have never had incidents with vandals or thieves since 1997 but decided a couple of years ago it was wiser to take the deterrent or preventionary measure of installing a gate.

 I'll be keeping my eyes and ears open while the gate is open, just in case someone that should not be here comes up. Hank will help me watch and listen too.

I have a half acre fenced and gated around the house just to keep the dog in and critters out. When we had the whole 5acreas I had the entire property fenced and gated.
I now have a half acre of wooded/swampy land open but it's landlocked from the road.  I really don't recommend anyone having a picnic back there... the uninvited guests aren't too friendly.
I only go back there with an atv and a gun.

Morning..
Up at around 4 and ran a 14oz k-cup of Columbian coffee through the coffee maker then headed for the shower. Next I made some oatmeal and a couple slices of buttered toast.
Then I headed to the shop, cleaned out the wood stove and put a fire in it. It was 31f when I got up.
I'll let the shop heat up for an hour then I'll head back out and putter around some.
My deliveries are all reported and arriving late..  go figure.

I'm fixin' to go grocery shopping , then to a hospital to prerester for the placement
of a portal for the chemo line to go instead of poking my veins every time.
It will be placed early on Monday morning.

The portal will be a lot easier on you than sticking you in the arms.
I had a portal for 6 months.
 Took a week or so to get used to.

Mornin y'all!  I wallowed in bed with the memsahib this a.m.  As soon as I get up the gumption I'm taking a dog and going hunting.  In an attempt to seduce my wife I promised her a trip to the dump, the thrift store, and the Chinese buffet today so my afternoon is set.
