Man I miss my buddy. I find myself looking down when I'm outside expecting him to be walking with me.
Boss does that now but she is more Betty Lou's girl.

That grief ambush is tough so thankfully it does get easier over time. Been a couple years now since the local female cat's brother died and my brain still interprets things in the yard as being him for a second sometimes. Took me 6 months to finally be able to pet him since someone abused him but he turned out to be hilarious with his sister bickering all the time and giving each other stink eye acting jealous when I'd pet her instead of him. Dude was a trip in a lot of ways.

Boss has started doing so many things that Rambo used to do... it's just weird.
The most obvious thing is that Rambo new when it was 5am and 5 pm... time to eat. He would sit in front of one of us staring until we fed them. Boss just waited on her bed until we put food in the bowls.
Now Boss does it at 5am and 5pm.

Hank didn't/doesn't understand the time change, he is off an hour still. To be fair I think my wife gives in and feeds him at 4:00pm instead of making him wait on the clock. He likes to sleep in until at least 7:00am most of the time now so, he gets let out first and then eats after he comes back inside. He gets a raw egg with his first scoop of dog food each day.

Good Morning, I got up at 6:00 AM after 4h 45m sleep.

 I took my wife to my sister's house where she will leave or has left to drive to MO with my niece that is moving there now.

 I plan on making a list of stuff to accomplish while she's gone to keep me busy. It's just me, Hank, and Patches here December 12th.

 Hank is acting a bit sad right now obviously aware of my wife being on a trip. 

 I bought another 24" Monitor to replace my 19" second monitor (just to have the second the same size as my primary). I always work with two screens to prepare for Bible studied and sermons.

 I can see Quail running east through my front yard right now on their daily routine.

Up already.  Coffee made.  Sipping and surfing.  Spending money online (dangerous).  Bath/laundry progress today.  I’ll get the shower drain and water controls hooked up.  I’ll rebuild the wall that had to be taken down to get the shower in place.  After that I can start hanging drywall.  It’s looking to be a pretty day out so I’m going to try and shoot some pellets.  We shall see.

I thought my new Monitor was scheduled to be delivered today, it's not until the 4th. Today I am getting a Internal 1TB SSD for my desktop, I am going to clone and swap out the 1TB HHD just to speed it up a bit.

Morning GTA..
Been up a couple hours just chillin and watching the OSU/Mich game.
Gonna get dressed and head out to fire the shop up. I need to run some chrono numbers on the QB bottle gun in .177 so I can compare them to the .22 setup.
The gun is so accurate in .177 but I think it has plenty of power to push my cast .22 pellets well.
We'll see what the numbers say.

Down here in Flarda I rarely look at the temperature.  It’s right nice out there just now though.  It’s cold enough that the manatee will congregate in the spring bowl at night and there should be a good number there this morning.  I’m driving boat tours today and a cool morning means plenty of wildlife will be visible.

I'll be heading home in a couple of hours. I've got to go by Fry's and Costco on the way home then I need to serves the solar battery. It took almost a whole gallon of distilled water last month.

Good Day, (morning is gone)!

I got up at 4:00 this morning, Sunday School and morning Church are over. I got my new SSD late yesterday and didn't clone my hard drive yet. I may do that after I eat lunch, or may wait until tomorrow?

 I have the late afternoon Church service to go to that starts at 5:00 PM. That's all I really have planned for the rest of the day except for doing all that my wife would do if she was here and not on her vacation.

 The family that my niece and wife were Caravanning with broke down in Flagstaff in the motel parking lot. (could have happened in a worse location)
   
A CV joint went out on their vehicle, my niece and wife decided to continue on because the others have to wait on parts and to get their vehicle fixed and my wife is on a schedule of sorts, knowing she has to leave to come home on the 12th and wanting to spend as much time as possible with our son and family.

_{Good morning}. I got up at 4:00 to find Hank had pooped in his bed and on the floor in my bedroom too. I thank God it wasn't runny but was firm and easy to clean up.

 I really don't know why he did that in the house except that my wife is always the one to let him out that time of night because he wakes her with nudges because there is lots of room on her side of the bed, and she's not home now. He can't go on my side of the bed easily because it is too narrow for him to turn around comfortably. He doesn't EVER poop or pee in the house  so, that was a big, not so nice, surprise.   

If I had to guess, it was probably my fault for feeding him a few hours later than normal and him not wanting out before bed. I should have insisted he go out then.

 At least I didn't step in it in the dark but saw it right away. That isn't the best way to start a day but, it could have been worse!

No plans yet. I'll be able to have the windows open to air it out good too because it is going to be a nice day here in So Cal.

Try getting woke up at 3am to a smell alarm 😡😡. My GS Rainey use to do to me for the last few months that she was alive. They were always firm so I didn't mind to much. I'd would still put up with it if I could still have her around.☹️

Last day of my 5 day weekend.  That was much needed time off and relaxation.  Back to it full speed ahead tomorrow.  Today is more work on the bath/laundry.  I’ve kicked the pace waaaay down.  If I can get a little done each day I’ll be good.  I was really having to motivate myself to get work done because initially the project grew as I got more into it.  Now I’m putting things together and the project is shrinking with each piece accomplished.  The stress is less but I still have OT scheduled at work until the end of the year so my time will be limited at home. 

I finally got to shoot a couple air rifles yesterday.  It was a short session but very satisfying.  I’ve been a bit bored with airguns lately and have been more focused on the versions that go BOOM 💥.  Once again, time is the limiting factor for getting out to exercise them.  I have been considering looking for a larger piece of property.  I would love to have enough space and be in a place where I could shoot boomers anytime and have the space to set up and host some airgun fun shoots and a modified field target/woods walking course.  It’s a dream anyway…

As of now I have read some, surfed and enjoyed some coffee and quiet time.  I think I’ll get another cup and ride the wave until around 1000 then get moving on the day.

Morning... kinda.
I got up at 4:30 and pressed play on the coffee maker.. Betty Lou always cleans and sets up the pot the night before. After I heard the gurgling that indicates the coffee is ready, I went in to get a cup. What I found was a mess all over the counter.
I am grateful because at least it wasn't dog poop on the bedroom floor. 
So when Betty Lou got up we showered and headed to Troy to buy a new coffee maker.  She wanted one that brews a regular 12 cup pot, brews single servings hot or cold and will also brew those Kurig cups. Then she wanted an assortment of Kurig flavors, a new pair of oven mits, a half gallon of French Vanilla coffee creamer and an orange for something she is cooking/baking... who knows. Anyways, a new coffee pot turned into a 44 mile round trip and $120.
On the brighter side...
Betty Lou said that Boss came in the bedroom at around 11:30 last night and barked until she got up to let her out. Then she stayed out there walking then fenceline and barking for 30 minutes.
Strange... I didn't hear any of that.

Woke up this morning and called off work. After nearly a full week of madness I needed a day. Might finish up my laundry.
